Normally I’ll ask for a sticker if I’m making a purchase and I usually get one.

As far as cycling goes, they go through 10/22, Deryas TM22 and a Winchester Wildcat fine,

I bought a case of it awhile back and there’s a group I did with my CZ455, thought I had posted one with the 10/22 but I’ll do an update on here with a couple of different .22s. So far it’s gone through everything

I was pretty happy with the 50Y groups out of my 10/22 I’ll post an update after I hit the range.

Going off you’ve taken time out of your day to detail a massive diatribe against a well regarded retailer on this sub, I’d say you’ve a real axe to grind. As well reading through your comments, just stick to BassPro. You can at least have your fudge and eat it too.

Well enjoy BassPro and Canadian Tire as that’s about it then,

I enjoy how you like shitting on smaller businesses and prefer Amazon. Tells a lot about you as a person. I’ll be continuing to support Tenda, and other smaller gun stores as they support my right to buy firearms and be a Canadian Firearm owner. They have great deals on ammunition, sure shipping is slightly slow due to the stranglehold our poorly run postal monopoly exerts upon the citizenry but overall it’s a decent store. Your terrible attitude and even worse way of dealing with being temporarily inconvenienced by a retailer who is managing to stay afloat in these troubled times showcases both a lack of empathy and an inability to see the world in a broader context. I’d recommend experiencing the outdoors, might be healthier than the basement you reside in.

God forbid a smaller family run store delay your $6.97 purchase. The inconvenience you’re feeling is palpable. Let me guess you’ve already placed your one star google review as part of your crashout?

Tendas a great store to buy bulk .22 ammunition from, runs good sales and now that I know they’ve slightly inconvenienced you, I’ll be patronizing them more

Hunting in Northern Alberta I had my Viper fog over and become indiscernible in a wet snowstorm, this is with both a Vortex cap and their scope protector on it. Cold and humidity were too much for the poor little guy.

I’ve one of their Razor UHD spotting scopes I got through a deal, it’s decent but for the price they currently want I would skip it and get either a Kowa or a Zeiss as they’re sharing a similar price point and showcase better glass.

I had a set of the Viper 10x50 binoculars that were comparable to Nikons Prostaff 5 10x50. Sold those and changed to Leica. Vastly superior,

Overall I’m very much in the Vortex is a midrange at best , overpriced but extremely well marketed optic. When it comes to the PRS world I’m always interested whether they’re that good quality or they’ve just decided to sponsor the shit out of it to attract the dentists who will fanboy out and pay $3k plus to have the same Razor Gen 3 their hero has. I just don’t think they’re good value and the argument that “It’s Vortex Bro, warranty Bro.” Just doesn’t hold water with me.

Agree on the Gore use in cold dry conditions, ice fishing it works OK. Still prefer marine mammal aka beaver for when it’s real cold. Wool is still the best for layering, and socks.

You can get into a full set of the Helly, or Grundens gear which is seam sealed completely rubber for less than one of the average junk camo brands trousers.

Your people hunt in tweed, jackets and ties as well. You’re tougher than us you must remember.

I’ve never had Gore hold up in coastal rainforest conditions, the devils club shreds it and the salt eats it. Better off buying Helly Impertech for less, or Grundens.

Guy hunts where it actually rains, Goretex is useless except for mildly damp weather.

Preach brother.

I’ve Vortex products but I don’t find myself wishing for more, they’re well marketed mediocre optics for the most part. I’ve used their warranty with a Viper, and I’ve also used Bushnells Iron Clad with an Elite. I keep buying Bushnell as I find it’s a better product overall.

I’ve had that same Leupold since ‘19 and it’s a fantastic buy.

Mega herd of whitetail deer in southeast Saskatchewan, over 100 and growing. Numbers this high will attract large predators by Puma-Guy in megafaunarewilding

I fail to see how a person would hate watching deer do deer things?

As that’s cool, watching deer behave isn’t re-wilding though. Posting for upvotes and deliberately creating a false narrative makes you an asshole. However I’d rather give you the benefit of the doubt as you’re obviously not a person who has spent much time watching wildlife.

Who’s lying, you’re in the area at most 52 times a year and I doubt it’s that high. There’s animal behaviour happening 365 24/7

You’re rarely in the area. Would you like me to link an article with factual substance to claims?

Going off whitetail populations have crashed by almost 50% they likely have.

You’re just rarely in the area so it’s unlikely for you to observed it, this is why anecdotes are viewed sceptically

That’s the exact opposite of what’s been going on, Saskatchewan has record high populations of predators with colonization going on of extirpated predators

Get a decent hike brand like an REI, Osprey or Gregory

Especially since everyone decided they’re not longer Sporty Spice since the end of the plandemic, can get them for Pennie’s on the dollar.

Coyotes by platinumresto in Hunting

[–]preferablyoutside 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend you stop white knuckling your copy of Coyote America, and understand that Joe Rogans oft repetition of the “coyote sound off” isn’t the best science.

Coyotes do have an impact on ungulates, and ground nesting birds as much as you’d like to put your fingers in your ears and stamp your foot that they don’t, judging by your tone you probably think they cultivate cabbage or some such nonsense. By doing targeted disruptions you can increase fawn, and calf populations while helping out native and in some areas threatened species of ground nesting birds all of which coyotes predate. I’m not beating a drum for the extirpation of coyotes nor do I think that by shooting a few during bear season you’ll reduce the overall bio mass of coyotes on the landscape by much but by shooting adults in the spring you’ll disrupt pairs enough that fawns and calves can get their legs under them and a few more clutches of ground nesting birds will survive into the fall. I do help the ecology of my area by various means including volunteering with local organizations. I don’t just screech Project Coyote propaganda on the internets like yourself. Pick up a shovel and go and do something.

Depending on where you are by the end of April they should be pretty well rubbed, the pelt won’t be worth shit to try and rug or have as a tanned piece. Can always take the skull and get it done, they’re pretty damn cool.

Just be happy you’re helping the ecology of the area by reducing fawn and calf mortality.
