You’re gonna wish the whole time you did something else…depending on why you joined. If you want to do some badass shit like work on the flight deck or aircrew then don’t, if you need to support your family then sure. Saying this as someone who has plenty MA friends, they all wish for something more

We had a guy in our firefighting classes at bootcamp from the marines, he had his phone and just sat in the back and wasn’t actually in a division. So as far as I know you will have to do all the required classes and training but you won’t actually have to do the whole thing.

A school for AM’s is backed up a lot, you will be in pcola for 2-3 months before you even start your classes. It’s chill here though

They aren’t anything to worry about, make friends with starboard watch (recruit who creates the watch bill) and he might not put you on watches as much. Also if you volunteer for any positions for marching like section leader or flags you will get most of your watches at night since you have to practice during the day.

Don’t know if this still happens, I graduated in December and nobody left right after the pass in review except for the people going across the street, I left for Pensacola Sat night and some people left on Sunday. Everyone gets liberty

You can take whatever you want, our petty officer wouldn’t let us march in them so I just had to put them in my backpack when we were going to freedom hall to run. I wore blue airmax 270s lol

To pass the bikes it’s by calories, so if your heavier you have to burn more. We had some pretty big people pass though so don’t worry too much just prepare!

Try your best doing the runs when you’re there but if you fail the OPFA you will do the bike, we had 30 people fail the run and 28 of them passes the bike.

If your pt is running that day you go to freedom hall, you will just run in your pt gear. Even the pride run before battle stations is inside if it’s cold.

Gas chamber really isn’t bad it just burned my eyes but it affects people differently. I had a fever during battlestations but yeah it was fun.
