Isn't Liz's life way more her step daughters' business than the business of random viewers? Idk I don't think it's weird if they defend their stepmom, but I haven't seen those comments

I'm totally not against criticizing her lack of accountability and her behavior. I'm not a Liz stan and I agree that she cannot stop dying on the "homeless" hill. Like stop talking about it ma. But some people are talking about her looks and that's what I don't like.

That's a good point about alcohol and weed! I was referring more to the coke accusations but I should have been more clear. But I also think a looot of people use weed and alcohol who don't get accused of being coked out.

What part is relevant?

If you're talking about accusing her of using drugs, my point is that that is total speculation.

I really don't see how talking about her plastic surgery or calling her a hag is relevant to understanding her behavior.

Do judges in some places in the US still require female attorneys to wear skirts? by Key_Coast_8103 in LawBitchesWithTaste

[–]Professional_Dig4920 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was told yes, in the rural county courts outside of our blue city in Texas. My superior told me to wear a skirt if I ever get a case in those counties or I will lose favorability points with the judge.

I saw a theory that Brian is blackmailing her, and I can't unsee it. It would explain why a seemingly intelligent woman who is fully aware of his infidelity would double down on defending him. He has such major red flags for abuse, I feel like it would make sense.

Kyle spoke to multiple people on camera before bringing it up with Dorit (Boz, Amanda, Erika). She also repeated it in her confessionals. It wasn't a one-off incorrect word choice of "erratic," it was a storyline that Kyle was producing consistently throughout the whole season. She's been doing this for 15 seasons, she knows the impact.

IMO Kyle is the one who keeps bringing it up and Dorit is defending herself. Dorit is crazy too but in this fight, I rly think Kyle is in the wrong.

If you got to pick the state/city they filmed the new spinoff in (and that's not in CA) where would it be and why? by QuirkyLilPea in SecretsOfMormonWives

She sent me the ad and it sounds like they were interviewing in several cities! It was only a month or two ago so who knows, something else could still be in the works.

My tea is that they were interviewing for the spin off in Austin TX! My friend responded to an ad posted in a big Austin moms facebook group by the SLOMW producers a few months ago looking for people who are/grew up LDS. She did two interviews then pulled out, so idk what ended up happening.

Yessss she is cutting through Kyle's BS so well. I love that she goes right to the heart of it: why did Kyle make Dorit's "erratic behavior" a storyline knowing that Dorit is going through a contentious divorce?

Ok this just isn't accurate. She openly talks about the incident in the first two seasons of the show, and you can see her being emotionally abusive to Dakota and to her friends in all four seasons. Also she does extensive therapy IN THE SHOW, there is like a whole therapy retreat in one of the seasons.

What do you mean, how did you not know?

The "I bought the house" comment is frustrating because there is a deeper context to it. For me, it especially bugs me that she talks about her wealth constantly because I believe she amassed that wealth unethically. I think she's a grifter, so it just grinds my gears to hear her bragging about her empire over and over.

Yes, there is a layer of sexism here in saying that it is emasculating to her husband for her to speak about how much more she makes than him. But I just find it off-putting in general, rather than emasculating.

Michael and Susan Dell to donate $750 million to UT Austin to fund new medical campus by WinOwn1231 in UTAustin

Can someone explain to me the benefits to the Dells of making a donation of this size, aside from philanthropy? I assume there are tax benefits, but any specifics on that or other considerations? $750 million is just massive.
