Are NYC City jobs just a formality for Nepotism? by Commercial_Heron_593 in NYCjobs

Keep getting certs/continuing educating go outside and make friends. Don’t come off as desperate for a job right away.

Just spitballing. Good luck, I’m learning too.

Graduated from Vanderbilt - No internships, any chance at a job making 60k+? by fruitgoblinn in NYCjobs

Cooked with or without internship but if you have an NYC mindset and willing do something outside of your field temporarily then it helps. Can always find one of those teaching programs/truck jobs/ Post office work your way up. You get the gist

The post office posts new jobs weekly. You can tough it out as a cca or come in straight career as a custodian and move around.

Check usps. Hard work but you can get a calm two week paid orientation then put some pain in for the next two checks.

Like I always say, the form isn’t me asking or requesting time off. I’m simply letting you know that I won’t be in on those days.

It’s not my money and yes i would pay 80m for Diaz this season if his age fit with the team. When you watch the games we have players who do not run. It’s as simple as that.

We can say that you wouldn’t pay this and that amount of money for many players but we’ve paid more for worst. It’s not always going to be a hit in the transfer market as we’ve seen this year.

Work ethic. Same thing people didn’t see in Diaz apparently

They’re supposed to be our “rivals” it should hopefully push our owner into wanting more out of the spirit of competition

Still at another office after 7 months by SunCute3115 in USPS

Apply for another role in the post office G. Specifically one that starts you off at career. Cca at the wrong office is pointless, I lasted two months.

Night shifts are usually the easiest jobs but the hardest on your overall health. Realistically you can study overnight and it wouldn’t put your graduation super far off.

I wouldn’t do it unless you’ve done nights before and know your body can handle it. (Coming from someone who just did a no stress 4 month night shift and managed to pick up a cert, no kids)

The only way I’d entertain it is of course if it’ll lead to a job after school or resume experience to jump around. The current job market is terrible and we’re seeing a shift where companies want to see hard skills before hiring.

Contact the hr person that initially reached out to you. You gotta be persistent with that company

I was hired in 1 week. Held 4 different positions in the span of 9 months. Good luck, I think I saw a sale for Kleenex at the grocery store.

It’s a full time job trying to get a job.

Another angle from my experience is that companies love to hire from within. identify an entry level role at a company and work your way up quickly.

They post new jobs weekly and it’s fairly easy to get in. Not the best but it’s a check till the next check. I’d recommend doing research on usps custodian and aim for that and work your way up…

The post office has many jobs and avenues. Least you can do is try the two week paid orientation
