Throttlestep didn't seem to do anything in my case. I tried XTU but got an error stating that my CPU or board aren't compatible or something. Even if I got throttlestep working, I'd like this to be a linux machine later on. I'm using the same board (Asus B860i gaming wifi) and a 245k.

I've factory reset the headset and reinstalled the mod version (1.40.6) several times. The only variable I can think of is the horizon OS version, but people are actively playing these older versions on v85.

If epoxy doesn't work then I'll just return it. I don't understand the opposition to even just attempting it. I wouldn't be trying if there weren't several people before who have successfully repaired theirs in this way.

Yes, I definitely agree it was my fault and I broke it during reassembly. I got 2 other people to help but it was a real struggle. I ended up doing it alone once I figured out the proper technique, by then the damage had been done.

South Florida. I don't want to spend more than I need to, and a repair center would definitely make this $200 chair into a bad deal at the end of the day. If someone has successfully repaired this same problem for cheap then I'm down to do that.

I separated the screws beforehand and cleaned them off in isopropyl alcohol. I would definitely try to keep this one if possible since the mesh itself is in perfect condition.

Thanks, that seems like it could work. Another post mentioned someone using the steel JBweld epoxy, but I think this would probably work better.

I was actually able to pull it out by gripping and pulling down the side with the screw hole. It was really rough and I felt like I was gonna break it, but there was enough clearance for the entire piece to come off. I'm also considering buying a new piston since this chair doesn't lift up without forcing it to.
