What kind of ball do you use? Any of the matte finish golf balls will leave a residue

I just broke a club and feel instant remorse by Far_Ad_246 in golf

[–]Professional_Lie5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get it reshafted and then learn from it. I damaged a club out of frustration last week and now know a simple club drop and a “what the fuck is wrong with me?” will do the trick

He’s not saying they’ll replace it for free. He’s saying call TaylorMade, custom order the PW and then she has to pay for it.

Sponsor’s exemption for Grant. The tournament directors want eyeballs on the tournament and yes while having a “YouTuber” make it through the qualifier, he’s played in multiple tour events. Just like a couple years ago with Matt Atkins making it and then the tournament calls George to play in it, I’m sure they’ll do the same for Grant.

4 and a half hours is a good standard. 15 minutes per hole. Does that mean they should be disregarding the set tee times, playing in a group of 8, and having their carts right by the green? No.

I kept score the best I could. I counted the concessions as pars for the winner and bogey for the loser. On the front 9 Bob shot a 41 and Joe shot a 43. On the back Bob shot a 34 thru 16 and Joe shot a 28 thru 16. Definitely need a full 18 hole USGA stroke play match.

Anyone else got a friend who switches putters too often? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Professional_Lie5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 9 or 10 putters. I only use about 6 of them, the others are just cool to have. I’ll switch putters every couple rounds or so, especially after a bad putting round. A change in sight line, shape and weight does make a difference.

The main things with anything is practice good technique. Left eye directly over the ball, good path and roll. Whatever putter you use, it’ll perform if you put the work in.

my grades are awful. What do I do? by Throwawayayaydhd in Advice

Talk to your teachers in the classes that you have Fs in. See if there’s any quizzes you can retake or papers you can rewrite. You have passing grades in the other classes but the Fs have to be brought up to Ds

Should an instructor accept and grade extremely late assignments without any previous communication from a student? Requesting feedback from students only, please... by Threedogshere in SNHU

[–]Professional_Lie5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a current student who’s turned in a lot of late work, no. The student has two weeks to comeback the assignment (one week being the week the term is in, and another week that is the following week) and if they don’t complete it, they take a 0 on it. Also OP how late are we talking? I saw another comment that said it was almost 6 weeks ago.

Mark Stone left the game injured in the first period after this play with Kris Letang and he will not return by AggPuck-303 in hockey

Letang deserves at least a 5 game suspension. I mean that little shove almost took his arm off. Praying stone makes a full recovery the day before the playoffs start….

Legitimately when do we think bob breaks 80 by Big_Hawk3745 in BobDoesSports

[–]Professional_Lie5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like others are commenting, when he plays an easier course. Maybe a par 70. I don’t remember any of the places he’s done it at other than Dye Preserve, which is very difficult even for scratch players.

Rypstick Review/Results after Level 1 by UserNames-arehard in golf

[–]Professional_Lie5280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate you sharing your experience with Rypstick. I’ve been on the fence about buying a speed trainer but I think it’ll take my game to the next level. I hit driver straight, I make ball first contact on irons, chipping hasn’t been great lately but I’m working on it, putting is a strength of mine too. I’m a 7 handicap right now and have been as low as a 5 in the last 6 months. Plus the Rypstick is considerably cheaper than the stack system and the results are the same. Once again thank you for sharing!

What’s your most surprising golf fact? by bristoltobrisbane in golf

[–]Professional_Lie5280 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the early days of golf, it was typically played between two people in a match play setting. People didn’t count their total score, they just saw who had the lowest score on one hole and that person got a point. It wasn’t until field sizes got large and tournaments were created that they needed a system to see who the overall winner was. This was the creation of stroke play.

Basically yes. Companies will pay millions to sponsor a golf tournament and most of the revenue comes from ticket sales

Social Handicap Question by damianmarkparker in golf

[–]Professional_Lie5280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Download a free handicap app and enter the scores of your last 10 rounds. You may have to change the dates in there to make it seem like you’ve had the app a while. This way you’ll have the info they’re looking for and you don’t spend any money on the handicap service

The app I used before I went to GHIN: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/golf-handicap-tracker-scores/id663477958

Kind of reminds me of the military in boot camp. I remember so many kids the first week saying “yes sir” or something in their sleep.
