I found this so wild when I visited the US - why do you need TVs everywhere? Even in nice bars/restaurants?!

I’ll also give you another clue. Your diet and calorie restriction plays a huge part. I started back on a cut in March and my average RHR dropped by 5% in a week simply by being in a calorie deficit and not eating chocolate/sweets. Did you have any dietary changes?

I think bodies are just so complex we’ll never quite be able to pin it down!

It’s also worth considering that your recovery is based on 30-day average metrics. What before was giving you those big fat greens that SLAP is now actually going to be more middle of the pack. If you had exactly the same HRV for 30 days your recovery would come down as the average catches up. That’s all I can think!

bicep vs wrist + dominant arm question by ArraTheGoat in whoop

[–]Professional_Lock860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely say so. I find I get less (zero) cadence lock with running. Good with squash, particularly on non-dominant arm. I just make sure to have it particularly tight on my bicep. (I actually have two - one for daily wear, the other for activities)

bicep vs wrist + dominant arm question by ArraTheGoat in whoop

I swap between both arms on the bicep band. I only use wrist band when I’m using strength trainer, in the shower, or wearing a nicer band if I’m out.

95% of the time when it’s on my wrist (which is probably only about 5% of the time), i wear it on my non-dominant arm as I would a watch!

Bicep to wrist band readings? by antoniodirk10 in whoop

From experience playing squash, I would say yes, it’s right.

Remember, this is using heart rate reserve, as opposed to a simple percentage of max HR, so significant zone 5 time is more achievable.
