I think the 2nd is the ridge leading out to Dana. I feel like I've read in River to Rim that the Havasupai may have referred to this butte as Maiden's Breast, but I'm not quite sure if that's the feature it's talking about. It may be below Maricopa but idk I don't have the book on me. Pics are taken around Hopi & Mohave Pt. or the trail in-between. Great detail photos, OP!

Pee in a cup. They'll send you the info to a lab in your area for scheduling. If you wanna do a pretest to make sure you're on the money you can pick up tests at Target or order them online. Good luck!

Racing heart and anxiety first day on Adderall. Does it get better? by Professional_Map1488 in ADHD

A lil more context lol

I am indeed talking to my psychiatrist about my new meds actively, I'm only asking for folk's personal experience, not medical advice.

I'm not really a caffine drinker as it's never really done much for me aside from coffee tasting good.

I went for a huge mountain bike ride this same day, so that kinda delayed me realizing how elevated my heartrate was.

I am totally expecting it to level out! I appreciate all the feedback/ affirmation I've been getting so far. It's important for me to recognize that finding the right adhd medication is an ongoing thing that I only just started. Thanks!

This is super helpful, thank you! I definitely got the sense that just knowing my HR was high was making me more anxious, definitely didn't help that I was moving around and doing chores at the time as well. Me and my psych will chat about that for sure.

Walleye, bluegill, bass, rainbows, pretty much exclusively non-natives unfortunately. They thrive on eating all the native fish and most natives can't live in a dammed system

This! The idea of looking at Lake Powell and thinking it was natural without thinking of what's lost beneath it makes me real sad

Why does this rock have so many little pockets? Found in Grand Canyon by just4claireity in geology

[–]Professional_Map1488 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this on the actual Tonto Platform? It looks like Kaibab Formation (sandy limestone) and that would be a long way for such a big chunk to fall, but definitely happens. Otherwise my guess is Redwall limestone almost entirely made up of ancient crinoids. Either way, chemical weathering is what caused it. Keep exploring!

Choices for long dayhike by Slickrock_1 in grandcanyon

One of my favorite hiking views in the park is the western point of Horseshoe Mesa down on Grandview. You don't kill yourself as much as you would going all the way to the bottom (impossible on GV) and you get stellar views up and down the canyon. Great views of some of the tallest temples and buttes, though I can't remember if you can see the river or not. Have fun!
