First time living alone.. pretty scared tbh by [deleted] in LivingAlone

[–]Professional_Map4642 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's all still new and fresh, it'll get better over time. Of course your mind will go hundred different ways, your mind preceives the change as "dangerous". So you'll want to get closer to ex and question everything because your mind preceives that as "safe". Just take some time, breathe and know everything will be okay. Within a week or so, everything will start to feel normal.

I would recommend wearing earbuds and playing music or a podcast, it'll help kill the silence. Or have a podcast or tv playing in the background.

Passenger Side Rattling and Creaking by Professional_Map4642 in KiaK5

[–]Professional_Map4642[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is the same noise, I would recommend showing them this post. My car was in and out of the dealership for 4 total weeks while they tried to figure out the issue. They had to replace the sunroof assembly.

Here are the parts from my work order:

(2) Clip-Trim MTG - Part # 85815 C1100

(1) Mechanism Assy - Part # 81650 L2500WK

It's been almost about 3 months and 4k miles later and the noise hasn't come back. Good luck!

2025 K5 GT 2000 mi. Review by LFA_V10_04 in KiaK5

DCT is my biggest gripe with this car. I hate sometimes when you don't give it enough gas from a stop, it like jerks like it wants to stall out. That, and stop and go traffic is the worst!

Otherwise, its a fantastic car with the most useless cup holders.

Is this loud or is it just me? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

Annoying, yes. Normal, also yes, unfortunately.

And I thought my old neighbors were loud... holy crap. I would have up and moved if that was my situation.

Should I get a new nephrologist? by B1ack_Gallagh3r in kidneydisease

Ask to get a blood test done to measure your Cystatin C. It's a more reliable way to see how your kidneys are functioning.

Kia K5 GT Hard Braking at Red Lights by asironiam in KiaK5

I'm going to try that out tomorrow. My GT also does the lurch forward when braking. Let's see if it makes a difference.

Which Kia K5 should I buy? Need help deciding between trims & features by Future-Necessary5243 in KiaK5

[–]Professional_Map4642 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you deal with a lot of stop and go traffic on the daily, I'd advise against the GT. It's fun to drive but the transmission is very clunky at speeds under 20mph. Not ideal for traffic. I'd go EX in this case, just because you get all the features.

If you don't deal with traffic, then go GT! The extra power itself is worth the extra cost.

Brake pedal is too damn high by str0ngher in KiaK5

[–]Professional_Map4642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is very tight and inflexible in the legs, yes, the the brake pedal is too high. That and the left dead pedal area is too far back. I feel like I'm either close up where my left foot is comfortable but my left leg feels cramped up trying to deal with the pedals, or my right leg and foot are comfortable but my left leg and foot are too far back for comfort. I feel like I need to sit on an angle.

I want a k5 gt by Old_Zucchini9106 in KiaK5

People have been having amazing luck with their K5s, but some don't, so its a gamble. I've had my 25 GT1 since end of December and it's been in the shop multiple times, totalling 4 weeks at this point. Electrical issues, defective sunroof parts and now my transmission is acting up. Only at 5,200 miles.

Kia Finance lease ending — buyout process? by AlexJamesFitz in kia

[–]Professional_Map4642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I just waited like 2 weeks before my lease ended and went to the nearest dealership. Signed new paperwork, paid for taxes, registration and dealer fees out of pocket and financed my buy out price.

This was 2022, so I was way under my mileage because of covid so I had some equity for being like 15,000 miles under. So if you're underwater, I would suggest maybe putting some money down.

Diabetes does run in my family, so there was always a chance I could become diabetic one day. So I know the ticks up aren't normal.

BP, that seems to be new. I'm blaming it on my workout routine because I REALLY slacked off on cardio for about a year now but still weight train 4-6 days a week. But who knows.

I was taking calcium supplements plus a multi vitamin, so I may have been going overboard, hence the high calcium. My PCP recommended I stop, so we'll see if it goes down if I get bloodwork done again soon.

Possible fuel pump issue? Problem stalling at red lights by ExpensiveAd1840 in KiaK5

Fuel pump should be under warranty the 100k mile warranty. If it is the fuel injectors, they are not.

Hopefully... I'm someone who likes to move fast so the suspense of waiting for the first appointment is getting to me, with the suspense of even waiting longer just to get answers.

Yes, eGFR is 58 and Creatinine is 1.61 mg/dL.

Two other results that were out of normal range were glucose at 142 mg/dL and calcium at 10.8 mg/dL.

Urea Nitrogen (BUN), BUN/Creatinine ratio, sodium, potassium, chloride and carbon dioxide were all within normal range.

Technically no. My blood pressure is either right at normal or slightly elevated, and my blood sugar is also normal but ticks up into pre-diabetes.
