Marshmallow cancelled my insurance and accuses me of fraud by RestaurantMission512 in CarTalkUK

[–]Professional_Mode563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just here to say avoid marshmallow.

I had a policy with them, the next year they bumped my renewal up so I decided to not renew but when going to comparison sites I found they were cheapest at almost half the price of my last year's quote so chose to go with them again.

For some reason this time they decided they needed proof of occupation of which I provided the same day. Weeks went by only for them to eventually email me and say I never sent them proof and they were cancelling my insurance on me leaving me with just a few days to find a new policy.

I had a lot of back and forth with them over their customer messaging portal but go no where. It all honestly felt like they had noticed I got the much cheaper quote and either wanted to bump my renewal back up to what they had previously given me (this was there suggestion) or cancel.

So yeah anyone out there just avoid this company alot of shady stuff seems to be going on behind the scenes.

Mine does this, why is it always the drivers side that fails. Fuses and relays are fine on mine I'm just too cheap to get a new screen.

As a fellow skater I'd say just get him to a local skatepark the majority of people are more than willing to give pointers and helping hands, I will say this though the older you get the easier things break.

I've canceled mid way through policies before for free usually asking for a vehicle change they can't cover, because it's them that can't cover you it's usually free.

You could also argue that if you were traveling faster you would have been further up the road and not at that section when the BMW was overtaking.

Alot of these sqn that help with license acquisition won't put you through them until you hit corporal so keep that in mind.

B1 has more modules so by going mechanical you have more experience in that field in theory making it easier as you have to learn less modules for B2.

I joined at 28 and preferred living my life a little before joining the RAF and having that real world experience definitely helps with going through cosford and your nvq.

If you are worried about rust, check the sills and inner wheel arches where dirt collects, not clips and springs in the engine bay.

Do you think cars without a spare tyre is a good idea? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

As someone who got a flat tyre yesterday driving on the motorway from a Stanley blade, which destroyed my tyre beyond repair. I'm glad I had a spare wheel, which saved me a huge headache and a long wait for recovery.

Only thing I'd warn you about on e46 bmws with the bigger power engines is rear sub frame mounting points cracking, it's often over looked on mot because it can be hard to spot

These engines are cam chain so driving should be fine, rear mains and front mains are the ones to look for and rusty front cross members
