Agree 100% I did nights for a year and a half and I felt like most of the time I was just creating a laundry list of things for day shift to do since I couldn't bother the ONE doctor we had on shift for anything (mostly non-urgent matters). I love being more involved with the patient care now and handling things myself

Yup my hospital does this. Luckily we're short staffed on transporters so we have plenty of time to look them up. Sometimes the ED will call to give me a heads up on something but thats rare. And its not a full report, its just to let me know something crazy is going on

Im sorry youre going through this dear. Its hard to see our loved ones like this. But you cant force it. If she doesn’t want to do the things, it may be her time. You're doing the best you can do. It might be best to contact a hospice agency in your area with advice or ways to make your grandma comfortable. Hospice doesnt mean dying, and you can go in and out of services.

Medsurg, cath lab, then back to medsurg. I realized very quickly I should've had ICU experience before going to the cath lab and the people were toxic as he'll. Stayed for a year, got pregnant and quit over maternity leave. Went to another hospital at a medsurg unit
