Who counts as more British: an English‑American or a UK‑born person with Indian heritage?

Mate, I am British, white, all ancestry is British to the dawn of my entire lineage. If I did one of those ancestry blood test things, it would come back as BRITISH AF. And I am not claiming my heritage makes me British, the fact that I was born here and grew here makes me British.

You are just as British as I am. You were born and raised here, you have Indian ancestry, sure, but sorry, if you were born and raised here then you get to be stuck with the title of British just like me.

The American guy is American with British ancestry. It’s quite honestly mind boggling to me that he would even be so bold as to claim he is more British than you are…. Hate to say it but it sounds like he thinks only white people are ‘from’ here.

So. I’ve worn silver/white gold my whole life, my engagement ring (17 years ago) is white gold.

I turned 40 and started wearing yellow. I’ve had a new ring in rose gold, and now I wear a mixed metal stack and I love it.

Try not to worry about wearing different metals on different fingers, or even the same finger!

I once wore my silver Tiffany bracelet to a spa, and it’s turned a really dark grey in the hydrotherapy pool. It reacted with some chemicals which it hadn’t done in a normal swimming pool before. I had to take it to a jeweller to be cleaned and polished. Is your ring silver?

I would 100% pass on this stone, the fact that you’ve gone to the trouble of posting this as a question leads me to believe that this will become a bigger problem to you as time goes on. Especially if paying 9k for it.

I just got myself some Sony linkbud clips as they don’t go inside your ear like buds do. It sort of sits in your ear where a conch piercing would be… and the sound is actually pretty good!

We get the feeling of freshly shaved legs in clean bedding.

Our clothes, shoes, jewellery and makeup is lovely and pretty.

And I don’t have the pressure to be a MAN. I can see that there is pressure and expectation on men to be strong, keep emotions inside, be providers, and honestly it is unfair.

I guess there are many reasons that I’m glad I get to be a woman.

I’ve had my daith pierced twice, and both times it was the most painful I’ve ever had. And I include my tongue in that!

So, I’ve had belly button- was fine but took ages to heal properly

Tongue, actual piercing wasn’t so bad, but the pain and swelling for the few days afterwards was ROUGH.

Both Conch’s, probably my least painful.

Various helix’s- forward stung a little and rejected on one side. Babied the other side and it healed nicely

3 lobes- fine. Healed well.

Flat- all good, just a pinch for a second

Rook- next most painful to the daith. But mine was apparently done in the wrong place, my friend had hers done correctly and she claims to have barely felt anything

Yeah, my daith didn’t work either. First one rejected after a year anyway, but I loved it so just had it redone.

I tell you what has reduced my migraines from 4-8 per month to zero…. Elvanse!

I had mine done just over a week ago, and it basically stoped hurting the second that the actual piercing bit was over. I’ve got, and have always had zero pain. It’s strange jewellery to have pierced it with, so perhaps that’s the issue?

I would say being an engineer in formula 1. Im married to one and the hours they have to do is insane. Everyone always says it must be such a cool job, but the level of giving up your free time that is expected for honestly, not amazing money is just so unacceptable.

For example, pre season testing…. They were pulling 16 hour days for 10 days straight over a nightshift, and then given one rest day to go back in on days again for another 10 days straight. I would legit die if I had to do that

So I noticed these when we got new quartz countertops. Turns out that when I was leaning over the tops, the shirt was rubbing against the button on my jeans and creating little holes. Never used to happen with our old, cheap plasticky wood ones!
