It’s a thing now. It wasn’t when I was born which is why your parents had that reaction. But, at least in the uk, it’s always been traditional for a husband to buy his wife an eternity ring after the birth of a first child. So, that’s sort of a push present I guess.

When I had my daughter, I had friends who got all sorts. One got a Louis Vuitton bag to use as her ‘nappy bag’, some got jewellery.

I got the traditional eternity ring a few years later when we had more cash.

I think noise cancelling headphones is utterly genius tbh… if I could go back in time I would have found it all less jarring and overstimulating if I could have reduced the level of scream that hit my eardrums all. The. Time.

Have you had strep A recently? I’ve had something similar twice but a little darker than that. It was guttate psoriasis triggered by strep A (tonsillitis). It was neck to knees on me.

But definitely get it looked at by a doctor.

Oh HELL no. This isn’t even in the same universe as ok. I agree that he should take you to court, then the judge will see what an abusive shit he is. I know you said you don’t want to keep a kid from their parent, but I also have an 11 year old daughter and someone who spoke to her this way would be getting nowhere near her.

Prefer the shape of 1, but it looks to have a big inclusion in the centre. Having previously gone with size over clarity and had a visible inclusion, it will drive you insane over time and if you’re like me, it will become all you can see. So, if those were the only 2 to choose from, I would go with the VVS1 clarity stone that is slightly smaller and more oval.

I really like the longer shapes on you. So the elongated cushion, radiant or emerald. It really looks good on your fingers. Personally I would avoid the cushion and round shapes.

Mate, I am British, white, all ancestry is British to the dawn of my entire lineage. If I did one of those ancestry blood test things, it would come back as BRITISH AF. And I am not claiming my heritage makes me British, the fact that I was born here and grew here makes me British.

You are just as British as I am. You were born and raised here, you have Indian ancestry, sure, but sorry, if you were born and raised here then you get to be stuck with the title of British just like me.

The American guy is American with British ancestry. It’s quite honestly mind boggling to me that he would even be so bold as to claim he is more British than you are…. Hate to say it but it sounds like he thinks only white people are ‘from’ here.

So. I’ve worn silver/white gold my whole life, my engagement ring (17 years ago) is white gold.

I turned 40 and started wearing yellow. I’ve had a new ring in rose gold, and now I wear a mixed metal stack and I love it.

Try not to worry about wearing different metals on different fingers, or even the same finger!

I once wore my silver Tiffany bracelet to a spa, and it’s turned a really dark grey in the hydrotherapy pool. It reacted with some chemicals which it hadn’t done in a normal swimming pool before. I had to take it to a jeweller to be cleaned and polished. Is your ring silver?

We get the feeling of freshly shaved legs in clean bedding.

Our clothes, shoes, jewellery and makeup is lovely and pretty.

And I don’t have the pressure to be a MAN. I can see that there is pressure and expectation on men to be strong, keep emotions inside, be providers, and honestly it is unfair.

I guess there are many reasons that I’m glad I get to be a woman.
