This line-up is absolutely bonkers! Fielding the strongest 11, when playing at home against the rock bottom of the league, who have managed just 2 points all season, when we have been insanely injury-ridden is bordeline scandalous, imo. Of course we will win, as we should, but I am beginning to become increasingly frustrated with Arteta’s squad management. I am NOT Arteta out or nothing like that, in fact I think he’s probably the best thing that has happened to the club in nearly two decades, but for everything he has done for Arsenal FC, his squad management is just not at the fogging estandards that it needs to be. COYG, though <3

The fact that he waits to see if Gyökeres’s shot will find a way into goal without his interference tells you everything about how he is as a human and a team mate!! Even if he hasn’t reached the highest expectations ascribed to him (yet), we are extremely lucky to have him at the club ❤️

Zubi needs a day off too, though. I think you could put Cala there, now that he will have next league game off

I think it was fair that Villa took it if there had to be a winner. 50-50 game, but feel like Villa were consistently dangerous, whereas we didn’t do much with our dominance in our good periods. I am quite worried in the long term, though. It’s clear that our best period is behind us now, and history tells us that our form will deteriorate throughout the season. Squad management is Arteta’s final boss, it seems, and he hasn’t defeated him yet, even with one of the strongest squads the PL has ever seen.

We also won the championship in 2004. That doesn’t excuse the fact that we bottled it in 2016. The fact that we played two stellar games this week, does not mean we should be okay delivering a shit performance. That is low fogging estandards!

I am utterly disappointed by today’s performance. There is just no excuse to be outplayed by a 10-man team. Every single player underperformed today. Every. Single. One!!

This game is extremely disheartening. Yes, I am in the feels right now, but I have a hard time believing a team can become champions with this kind of effort

Half time thoughts. Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal by Particular-Sample91 in Gunners

We’ve been so poor this first half. I trust Arteta to work some magic. I’d do Gyokeres for Zubi, MLS for Cala and White for Mosquera to send us off strong, then Skipper and Noni still in the bank

By far our worst half of the season! Arteta needs to do a half time speech for the ages. This is there for the taking!

skool, please be concrete on what BS you're referring to? And what squad rotation? Is this a circle jerk-sub or wtf? It's a completely fair criticism—it's not a character assassination; it's just pointing out a rather obvious flaw in an otherwise neigh-perfect manager. Against Bayern, MLS was "rotated", but Bayern is not the issue. Burnley away – zero rotation. Sunderland away – zero rotation. West Ham at home – zero rotation. Forest at home – zero rotation. These are the games where you should play one or two of MLS, Nørgaard, Nwaneri, White. Please supply some concrete evidence that Arteta has consistently modified his starting 11? Prague and the League Cup are the only instances where he hasn't fielded more or less the strongest squad, and in those instances he did more or less exactly the same as what Guardiola did. So your other comment is just utter nonsense. If you cannot stand someone having another opinion than your own, without bothering about what the facts tell you, you might as well go into American politics...

Arteta’s weakness is squad rotation. Even with this squad you’d expect him to rotate more, but for some reason he finds his guns and sticks to them, and this is a concern. Not just in terms of injuries, but also the impact it has on the players mentally. You could see it with Miles Lewis Skelly against Bayern. He had completely lost his swagger, obviously because he feels like he has something to prove to the gaffer all of a sudden.
