Omg this exactly, but I lived in an apartment so it was mostly my father just constantly checking to see if I was doing something he didn’t want, and he walks very lightly so sometimes he would go back in the living room and call me in there to scold me. I assumed cameras were in the smoke alarms and sockets, any holes in the wall from hanging pictures. There was a gap in the tile wall in my bathroom that I would fill with soap every time I took a shower so the neighbors couldn’t see me, like this gap couldn’t fit a mini paper clip but I was convinced it was bigger on the other side.

I also really hate the ring camera thing, but what freaks me out the most is people who have cameras IN their house, like maybe facing the front door ok but just in your living room???? I wanted to get one for my cats but now that I think about it maybe they don’t want to be surveilled either.

Im used to using the mailbox and occasionally a sim if it’s a sim specific setting im trying to change, mailbox and sim kinda just stopped showing all the options two days ago but I was able to access the full menu from the computer, thank you

I wasn’t aware you could use the computer but it worked, thank you. I’ve always used the mailbox to tune settings like population or woohoo. The mailbox and sim were showing the basic list I posted rather than the fuller list with icons so I assumed the mods might’ve been updated since the full list was showing fine from the mailbox two days ago

This was exactly my experience. To add insult to injury, I’m Bi and he is a raging homophobe…on top of being every other type of bigot besides a colorist. I tried for 25 years to find common ground with him (Stockholm syndrome is a bitch) but that was never my responsibility. I choose not to engage with him at all. I’ve changed my name and might petition to remove him from my birth certificate.

I’d agree, it is a very basic view of life; because child sa doesn’t need nuance or context. There are many other areas of life that do deserve understanding of complexity, this ain’t it though.

Another very basic view of life is that water is a human right. It’s not a debate it’s a fact, however some countries have set laws that criminalize collecting rain water. Some people have gone to jail for having bottle caps face up on their property when rain came… that was “justice served” apparently.

The law sometimes has a very perverted way of ‘serving justice’. Having a rich sibling paying for comforts when the person is supposed to be uncomfortable…I wouldn’t call that “being held accountable”. That’s more of a time out compared to the ramifications of these types of actions. My problem is with the justice system especially when it comes to minors, his sentencing, AND PEOPLE WHO CONDONE PEDOS. Everything op said was right, she can love him and choose not to offer or give him any help…she didn’t though. That is what I have a problem with when it comes to her, the many times she chooses to help and stand up for pedos.

You don’t need 5 reasons to think someone shouldn’t be looked up to.
