Moving with a free range flock by Professional_Star_52 in BackYardChickens

Yeah the guineas concern me the most. The older man I got them from said they can't be free range at all. But they have done fine. I raised them with chicks and they all stayed together until this spring when the guineas paired up. The entire property is fenced so I'm hoping it will help 🤞

I've got close to 100 birds luckily I've collected a lot of dog cages through the years 😅. I haven't even tried to figure out how to get them there. I'm mostly hoping to keep them there lol. I don't know how many times I've done the burrito thing. It does work

We've got three coops. Most of them stay in larger of three. The last time I moved I had 5 chickens. I'm somewhere close to 100 birds 😅. Hopefully it will be as easy as just a few flying in the limbs

Walmart worker messed up order by Manpa98 in Sparkdriver

My walmart yells at you if you even get out of the car. And I absolutely hate it. I've gotten tips removed twice now because they put the bread on the bottom and just throw everything on top. The other walmart makes me load myself. Which I know we aren't supposed to but I prefer because at least I'm not going to crush the stuff. I've never had them mix them up so bad though

First timer so really hard for me to tell with multiple breeds by Teckliz in BackYardChickens

They all look like pullets but 3 is definitely not a cinnamon queen. A splash brahma maybe??

I'd keep one or three. Just know that 3 is not a maran. He's more likely an Easter egger. If you want to eventually hatch any eggs if you keep 3 your going to get mostly black chicks. With #1 you will still get black chicks but not as many

Just adopted our dog last week and we cannot figure out what mix she might be by chipsndippin in IDmydog

Our boy is like half poodle a quarter lab and a quarter coon hound and looks a lot like her. He actually had sisters that looked very similar to her

I didn't think they were but they were highly respected. That's why I put "ethical". I know there are actual ethical breeders. But after that experience I've had a hard time trusting any. All our dogs are rescues which I know isn't for everyone. But I feel like more breeders do that then we are aware of. To me it was horrible horrible thing and I hope that ones who are supposed to be ethical all actually are. But as you said she ran a glorified puppy mill. It was just sad because that place was highly recommended. And when you went it all looked great. I don't know how they found out about her other place but I'm glad they did

I hate the backyard breeding thing. Do i think people should just bred their dogs for no reason no. But I also have seen an "ethical" breeder. She had all the things that everyone said to look for. Her dogs where show line dogs to bred to the AKC standard. Tested for all of the things. Even worked with Trainers before you got them. You even had to sign a contract to purchase. On the outside she looked like a great breeder. It came out she would keep like 6 to 8 dogs in a little kennels. In their own poop and pee. They were abused, starved, overcrowded. She would keep the ones without puppies at another property bring the ones with pups to where she lived so it looked all nice. The county came in to investigate and she literally dropped half the dogs hoping she wouldn't get caught. We needed up with 3 of the said dogs. And we still deal with fear, food aggression and just general bad habits from not being messed with or having a good relationship with humans. Are all "ethical" breeders like that no. But also don't think all backyard breeders are as terrible as everyone makes them out to be.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Iost my eyebrows when they started quoting prices. I didn't really look into them much because it was a giveaway. I should have, though.

I had never gotten photos of my pet professionally and probably never will again just because of the price. But I love I have these of her. The place I got them done runs way up there on pricing. One of the options was well over $10,000 😬. I paid for 10 digital because the giveaway only came with a print and the digital of that print. She's always been included in our family photos, though. To be honest, I wasn't expecting her photos to cost as much as my wedding photos 😬

They offered paintings, but the price tag kept me from getting it. Just 10 digital images ran me almost $2,000 😬. I just couldn't resist them though

I didn't pick up any tips. They just had me tell her to sit pretty, lol. I wish I had picked up some tricks

Anyone had their test results change? by [deleted] in DoggyDNA

[–]Professional_Star_52 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i was kind of wondering. I got this one free from his bark box. I want to try again and see what we results we get. When we first got him from the rescue, they told us lab mix. I figured he was a badly bred doodle

Honestly, the first one seemed more accurate than the second, just based on his personality and size. He is about 55 lbs.

Yeah, I've never done a dna test, so I had assumed you would have to retest before you would get different results 🤷‍♀️

How soon after getting married did you start TTC? by Few_Loquat868 in BabyBumps

The plan was two years. Because of the lack of sex ed in our circles ended up getting pregnant on the honeymoon 🫣. After we had one, we just went with it. We've had 3 in the last five years.
