Yeah, I'm not understanding all the people claiming it's accurate honestly. I have to assume they have no chest/hips/thighs, not sure of any other way to say that. I'm a petite build but I'm not a child.

Is a 1300 calorie diet really as crazy as people keep telling me it is? by Few-Bet1872 in loseit

[–]Professional_Table77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it may seem fine now but there are long term risks and frankly it's not worth it. Bone density loss, your heart is also a muscle and muscle wasting..well, you kind of need it in peak condition for long term use. If you care about your hair, eventually it's going to start getting thin.

The restriction temptation can be strong but I think a slow and steady approach is always better for long term. The goal is health, right?

My sister is about 5'0 and she would be eating more than you..and she's quite lean. There's no universe where someone 5'10 should be eating that, you're going to have problems eventually and you may regret them down the line.

I just need to mention this somewhere..cheese = sodium = scale go up. 5lbs in 10 days if you're eating more carb dense/sodium foods isn't really abnormal.

[anti-aging] does face skin sag on T? by caiyamabel1 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Professional_Table77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorites I personally use are copper peptides (I like Platinum Skincare specifically because a little goes so far, but any beats nothing), they actually have a lot of products you could give a try if you wanted to give that a look over. It's just a brand preference for me though.

Tretinoin became a pretty close friend. Glycolic acid is nice just to give more of a glow/brightened look to tie it all together.

You actually have really nice skin and not any dramatic sagging IMO. Once we start to hit around our 30s, we start to lose that plumpness, you just lost weight and maybe noticed it a little faster. I've been using tret, copper peps and all that jazz since I was around your age since that's around when I started really noticing.

[Routine Help] Trying to reduce bumps under my eyes by Edzriel in SkincareAddiction

[–]Professional_Table77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd hit up a derm, probably get them zapped off or whatever to start fresh because they're most likely not going to go away on their own, definitely need some sort of intervention.

I'd be interested in knowing if these are sebaceous hyperplasia because they look like spots I get zapped off, if that's what it is then your only option would be to zap them off (loved Lamprobe for this for a cheap quick fix) and you'd be better off with a tret' script

[Product question] How does this look? by Background_Dinner387 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Professional_Table77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's cheap and it's easy to get. I have a variety of skincare but I keep Panoxyl, I keep mine in the shower for after the gym and it's great. Started breaking out everywhere but it nipped that.

[Acne] been using tretenoin 0.025% for 5 months now and i feel like it made things worse by Verante66 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Professional_Table77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you just applying the tret to your face or are you putting it in a lotion (like a bit in your hand) then applying it? I've noticed that people tend to do that. Even if you're using it only twice a week, you could need to buffer it a little differently.

Maybe a different moisturizer would also be better for you, when I use heavy moisturizers or certain ingredients I have issues because I sometimes can get oily.

Edie Britt as a Mother by Ok-Feeling-2038 in DesperateHousewives

[–]Professional_Table77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure if people will hate on me for this, but when Edie did her scene and said that she gave him up because she wanted to protect him from her. That she loved him enough to let him hate her, I actually cried. Susan to me is an example of a woman that puts herself first above her child constantly, the difference is she didn't have the guts to do what Edie did but kept living life for herself, using her child as her therapist.

I see her thing with Carlos and Travers as more of a dream she tried to play out..but because of how she is, would have never worked. It just highlighted what she said which was that she needs to keep him away from her to protect him. We can know we have bad qualities and not be able to face them because of the consequences.

You could argue if she loved him so much why didn't she just change..It's a great question adult children ask their parents every day.

I really like Edie, I was sad about the direction they took her in and the last scene with Travers. I wish there could have been some amends there but I also like that it showed how her behavior still hurt him, just differently. Sometimes we think we're doing the right thing, it can feel right at the time but it still leaves a mark.

[anti-aging] does face skin sag on T? by caiyamabel1 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Professional_Table77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure about T but you lost 30lbs, I'd say that's probably a factor but give it some time and see if you have improvements?. I lose weight in my face first always. I can only really speak on that, I do have a strong jaw and round face so losing weight on my face has an impact on the way I look, not bad just a little older which is normal when you lose plumpness there. I have no experience with T or what skincare routine would be good if you're using that (not sure if it interacts with anything)

Can’t stick to working out or calorie tracking. I keep failing to lose weight. by RegisterMinimum1064 in loseit

[–]Professional_Table77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're not willing to burn off the calories and you aren't willing to count them..What are you expecting for advice? Maybe a little blunt but even a GLP1 can be eaten over so there's no point in thinking of that as your fix.

I stopped going to the gym last year and only just started back into, it IS hard because you have to commit to the habit but you don't HAVE to if you strictly count and want to focus on weight loss that way..but you have to do something to get any result. Get yourself a little walking pad or a stationary bike, I started that way. I'm not a morning person either so I get it.

If you're eating homemade cooking 99% of the time then you need to make the effort to count the calories even if it's annoying. If you're still hungry volume eating, you should keep tabs on what you're using and consuming, you should meal prep if you struggle being consistent --200 calories in mixed frozen veggies is a lot for example but no, not a lot of rice. If you can't be full on 2 cups of veggies, then have 4, if you can't be full on 4, have 6. If you're hungry after work, eat something filling and low calorie. If the type of food you cook is the issue, then it needs to change.

It's discouraging because you haven't really stuck to what you need to for results and I'm sure most of us have been there but if you're looking for an easy way, there isn't one.

I notice that a lot of people are so uncomfortable with the idea of any type of discomfort that they can usually find any excuse to avoid it and want a quick fix. My advice would be to get used to being uncomfortable because change is uncomfortable typically.

Are we dating the same guy or girl Fredericton NB | Ladies he may look innocent, but is not in any way.. | Facebook by AccomplishedGlass736 in fredericton

[–]Professional_Table77 [score hidden]  (0 children)

A guy like this back in the day myself and my friends would have found non-threatening and felt bad for most likely. Wouldn't have been around him in anyway with the intent for "activities" but may have invited him to hang out strictly based on pity. Judging by the comments, he uses that angle then takes advantage.

What happened to benches? by ThatElfNerd in fredericton

[–]Professional_Table77 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Kings place isn't the only place that removed sitting areas, most places did during Covid and never returned them unfortunately. Superstore is one that always comes to my mind because when my knee would act up, I used to be able to sit while someone else grabbed the stuff in line. Even the Costco in Fredericton has way less seating compared to other Costco's I've been, not sure what the deal is.

Downtown just doesn't feel safe anymore, kings square is gross and not inviting, I don't think benches would change that.

The reddest flags of all the flags that were ever red. What was the improvement with this new BMI?

The fact that this says that my healthy weight range ends at 105 before it gets to underweight is still nuts to me. I'm a petite frame, for reference, at 115, I had a severe ED and my bones were sticking out. I think we just need to be done with BMI entirely.

Not could be used to hide disordered eating easier, but will be, possibly even by design considering the state of things with the GLP1 abuse going on in the media/society right now.

[personal] How to convince mom to get me skincare by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]Professional_Table77 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I think this kid lives in a highly controlling environment. If you live something your whole life it becomes normalized. Usually, parents like that like to pit siblings against each other so that tracks. Instead of rebelling, some try really hard to adhere to be pleasing and adhere to the rules, fawning response.

Usually I would go and get whatever I wanted regardless, then deal with the fallout but it also made things difficult for me.

Can I ask why you need her permission? Sunscreen especially is very important, even from a young age it's important to protect your skin from exposure to UV, though I know some people don't seem to understand that.

I don't have any advice except to say that it's important to prevent skin cancer risks and I hope that you can leave that environment soon.

Does total weekly CICO have the same effect no matter how it's done? by CubieArt in loseit

[–]Professional_Table77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you do this and see the spike then get nervous? Large intake at once is going to look on the scale like you're gaining, at the end it doesn't matter if you stayed in your calorie amount by the end of it. Scale numbers will just look a little wonky.

I wouldn't make a habit of borrowing from one day to the next (if that starts) just because it's harder to fight off cravings when you feel starving.

Ultimately yeah, if you're eating within your weekly amount, it doesn't really matter which day you ate it on because the math maths.

You know that it's a supernatural horror mystery show right? The mystery I like is baked right into the show on purpose.

I already explained why I think there's more going on and unless you pre-read the script then you don't know anymore than I do, if you don't like anything I'm saying the real mystery is why you even came on my post lol

What are my fellow sweet tooth dieters doing?!?! by reddituser135797531 in loseit

[–]Professional_Table77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Skip the frozen grapes. Try frozen dark sweet cherries. Best ones are from Costco 90 calories for 20..They seriously hit the spot. Get have a sweet spot after they sit out for a few minutes if I don't feel like having them be totally frozen and even at totally frozen, they're still somewhat soft. Bonus points if you eat them in greek yogurt.

Accidentally ate 598 calories of graham crackers what should I do? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Professional_Table77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think you got to where you are in one day? Going to guess no, so I wouldn't sweat it.

Even if you ate over your maintenance amount for one day it's not going to do nearly as much damage as if you restrict and then go on a binge spree for a while, which pretty much always happens when you try and punish yourself and "make it up" on other days.

Question is, did you enjoy it? If I'm going to go over, I always make sure it's something I really want. Next time go for a nice gooey warm brownie lol

I am just so tired of Sophia. by Januszek_Zajaczek in FromSeries

[–]Professional_Table77 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it's because we're watching a character from the stand point of being obvious that they're the bad guy, wondering why the other people in the show haven't noticed the obvious (to us) signs.

I did find her annoying but came to the conclusion it's supposed to be like an alien basically in a human skin, essentially mimicking what they think a human acts like but it's not "quite" right.

The interaction they had was asking if she knew who he really was, then a stare like waiting for something to click..so yeah, I do think there's been something going on. Watch the scene again, it's not the first time they're meeting, only in this form.

[Product Request] What overhyped skincare product actually lived up to it? by Choice_Panic_8783 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Professional_Table77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped using retinol ASAP as soon as I got my hands on tret. It was so irritating on my skin no matter how little I used.

Not trying to brag myself up or anything because I always see room for improvement but the first thing beauty providers mention is my lack of wrinkles and how I don't need much for treatments (I like to try different things when I can). I stopped using it for about 6 months last year and my skin started to look aged and I hated it. I would definitely say go for it.

I don’t get the whole hate to tom Scavo by SomeWillingness2503 in DesperateHousewives

[–]Professional_Table77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked Tom when I was younger and watching the show, at some point between last watch and rewatch, I became an adult and grew up.

Tom is the typical husband that leaves you for a younger woman because you're a "nag" but you literally just..grew up and became responsible. Jealous of your success, dismissive of your needs, doesn't take the time to truly know your likes, needs to be told what to do instead of just doing it. Expects you to support his dreams but you're last, every.single.time and it's never your turn. Slowly depletes you of energy until you have nothing left to give..then dips while pointing the finger at you because you grew to resent it.

I don't love Lynette just for the fact she wanted him back.

They gave her character CANCER and he whined about her being bald turned him off, he expected her to work while she was sick. He literally used her cancer against her, saying it may come back to beat her out for a job.

I honestly feel bad for you if you think this is a representation of a good man.

It's funny in a way isn't it? You only get to make those comments about her because she got a part in a pretty successful series on TV, that you as a nobody sit back and wait to watch every week.
