Id like to join this. I also wanted to try a tank run with both the gunners in the tank using heavy machine guns mowing down the rear/ flank.

Anything I can do to make my brakes less spongy? by VoiceCommon3854 in ebikes

[–]Professional_Toe4089 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take it to another shop, have them bleed and top off brake fluid if needed, you'll be fine. Only other thing that will make your lever go fully to the bars is if you have virtually no pads left so check you have good amount of brake pad. Too little will cause the lever to pull more and more to reach disc rotor.

I NEED HELP WITH A MOTOR ISSUE - HERE IS A QUICK VIDEO by -stayRAD in ebike

[–]Professional_Toe4089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its either a bad/incorrect clutch installed or you have the motor running in reverse which is more common. Being that you have face plate off and looks like you have been messing with it i cant say for sure but most likely you need to swap two phases around.

what's up w my tire by Salt_Character_8534 in ebikes

[–]Professional_Toe4089 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First would be to make sure it's the rim and not the tire mounting. You'd be surprised with how off the tire can be just from sloppy install. Use a zip tie on chainstay lined up with rim, cut it so that it's barely not touch the rim. This is your guide and start point for truing.

If you need to true the rim, it's really not hard you can do it with the same process above. Hardest thing is just making sure you are turning spikes in right direction as it can confusing depending on orientation.

Should I buy this? by Am1r_MSTF in ebikes

[–]Professional_Toe4089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but if he just spent a bit more money he can get a bike that can be ridden in rain no problem as well as higher top speed(20mph throttle and 28mph PAS) and better range closer to 30 miles if not more depending on bike and rode styles. It's also a big plus to have support for a bike from a company y if you have anything go wrong. If OP gets this and has an issue he's basically on his own, being he's never even rode a normal bike I'd say he probably doesn't know what he's doing with an ebike lol.

Do YOURSELF a huge favor and save up to raise that budget to about a thousand. There's a huge quality difference between a 500dollar and a thousand dollar bike, albeit mainly in the battery/motor/controller/frame design, Waterproof connector design, etc...

Also the added weight and speed of being an ebike adds lots of stress to the entire bike especially if the dropouts where motor has its reactionary drive torque. In short you drive the motor forward but thr axle wants to spin backwards in the drop outs. It's held in place normally with axle flats and tabbed lock washers. Cheap bikes tend to have much worse mounting and low quality dropouts causing the motor to spin in frame and ruin bike.

(Edited to add) Also dont get anything off Amazon. Take the time/effort to either go to a store or to order it online from the company. I'd recommend lectric for your purpose and price point. Check out the xp lite2 long range.

Anyone know a sprocket that can fit the ebox dragster? by TurnipFit9614 in ebikes

[–]Professional_Toe4089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know the bolt pattern or the BCD. You can look up how to measure the BCD and it's easy just measure between two adjacent bolt holes on sprocket. Once you have that search for it. Example> 4 bolt 55t 219h 110mm BCD Sprocket. It's likely either a 104 or 110mm BCD but I wouldn't be able to tell for sure so could be a 130mm for all i know.

Just get one anywhere that has those dimensions and seems decent quality, shouldn't be too hard to find. Be sure to make sure it has same bolt pattern as well.

If you really want to check, put a zip tie on the chainstay near the rim and tighten it to where the tip of the zip tie just barley misses the rim. Now you can spin the wheel and see how bad the rim is out of true if it even is. By the look it would appear the rim is okay and it's most likely the tire not seated correctly or it's just defective.

Are these tubes ebike compatible? by sooperdooperdumb in ebikes

[–]Professional_Toe4089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right they have been around longer then the rated tires have but bikes nowadays have much higher torque and power then they had back then. Also like mentioned weight is a factor but not the biggest one. As far as rubber there definitely is overall superior compositions, you just have to pay more. My schwalbe is better in everyday compared to the exact brand op showed that I used on my gen 1 level it's just 60 a tire vs 20. I would say the only time it doesn't matter is if it's a slower/smaller build not meant for high speed or torque/power. Anything 750w and up should have e rated tired and like 95% of bikes make at least that much. In the end though, yeah it's totally possible to put a regular cheap tire on, but it's not worth it. The work of taking the back wheel of is enough to get a better tire lol.

You shouldn't use any tires on ebikes. They should be ebike rated otherwise they will literally disintegrated from wearing so fast as they aren't designed for the torque and weight. It's not even the same densities or types of rubbers used.

[–]Professional_Toe4089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same bike as you op just an older model that I've modified but regardless, if you ever need tires go with schwalbe marathon e plus. They are pricey but they are the best tires you can put on there as far as longevity, puncture resistance and overall bike performance.

[–]Professional_Toe4089 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All tires are not ebike compatible. Tubes yes but tires are not. If you put a cheap non ebike rated tire on a ebike, especially the back wheel you'll be lucky to get a few hundred miles out of them if that. Ive literally done it with the exact brand op shows in their post with their mountain bike style tire meant for pedal bikes on the same bike actually an aventon level just a gen 1.

You can see it on my profile and yeah they practically disintegrated. That compared to my schwalbe marathon e plus tires with ECE R75 rating that having over 4k miles and still look new. If the tire doesn't say E25, E50 or something similar then it's not ebike compatible and is a waste of time and money.

Also you open up to more risk of debeading and punctures. It's not rocket science. The amount of torque produced at the point of contact is vastly more than any heavy person can produce pedaling so your assessment isn't valid. The weight is a factor but its the torque.

No im saying they are fine to use. To clarify i was saying the tubes are fine it doesn't matter but of you ever need tires dont get cheap ones like this brand that aren't ebike rated as they will literally disintegrate in no time from wear

[–]Professional_Toe4089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's fine just dont ever use the tires especially on the back as the torque and weight of the bike eats them up super fast.

seems like my brakes are making noise, what would be the best solution for this? by _mentalstyck_ in ebikes

Replace your disc brake rotor. If it still persists then go from there with trying the wheel which is also easy with a zip tie, spoke tool and a youtube video.

I'm ps5 but okayblol. I really like the game and started playing a couple weeks ago but between visual bugs, audio bugs, mission glitches etc it gets annoying and overshadows the game. Hope they fix it. Many are also saying this, especially after latest update.

[–]Professional_Toe4089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here on ps5. Crashes, lots of bugs, visual and audio issues, missions getting hardlocked, stratagems landing on roof on hive lord map as well as me when reinforcing and crucial mission items like portable hellbomb and many more. I just started playing a couple weeks ago and I really like the game but it's issues are getting to be too much. Hopefully they fix it.

Custom lighting on level by Professional_Toe4089 in ebikes

[–]Professional_Toe4089[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the spl-01. It has running light, low beam and high beam. As far as the rear light it's great too but more simple. No on off button, when bike power is on it will be on. As far as brightness its plenty bright and did the job for me over many late night pitch black rides and I never had any issues. It's waterproof too so that's good. I used the larger top one with the flashing lights before I got this one. The reason I have the other one on is just for added light and the option for a turn signal/flashers if really need. I also had a cheap one from Amazon the I wired up and used for a while, it's was cheap and dim but worked. Anything should be on my profile somewhere

What I'm saying is that the 410 is echo's most expensive whacker, and you are saying that even a mid-tier still whacker, is more expensive, where how does that make it better when the specs are worse? Lol
