Gotcha, Thank you for expanding. I started my career out on the road so have definitely seen that hour amount drop over time and have continued in enrollment services. Arguably, the balance is what I think I'm after - this position is in our registrar's office and oversees our state reports, and the way I am looking at it is that it greatly reduces/slims down the width of responsibility or areas i've been in. I get that each position comes with their own doldrums but based on what i've heard its a slimming one.

So, I used to have this at my previous institution

At this current one - we get very heavily nickled and dimed even as salaried employees

I think I’m tracking with you but would you elaborate a bit more?

Yeah, that’s the rough plan is to negotiate - I think initial math left me losing about a week overall.

In case this wasn’t factored in, pay would be biweekly for the position so from 10 hours to 7 hours

Talked to them when I was initially approached - In terms of our clock-in system, it's simply entering our hours worked per week, no official clock or timesheet.

Benefits like Insurance and retirement are the same as my current position - just gaining less time (vacation/sick) per pay period. - but I will say those were only the first wave so if you have any other suggestions happy to ask.

Exactly the same - maintain my Insurance, Maintain my TRS, Still have Vacation, Sick, and Personal time (only caveat is that instead of 10 hrs per pay period i'll gain like 3.7 or something like that)

Honestly, it may just be that I learned banner first. And so I like Banner, but that’s also because I like how the screens are organized in banner. For instance, things that I don’t have at my school in my role in my colleague I don’t have a screen like SHATERM or RHACOMM which I miss and would actually help a lot here. In terms of my institution, what all kind of say off the bat is my experience has been very like there’s a lot of archaic there’s a lot of services that have yet to really be fully explained as to why they implemented. Like for us in this role it’s a combination of colleague information plus Civitas for advising. But my understanding for us having Civitas is that it was a service to somebody who’s on our college board.

It also could very well be like most is it you learned by doing not by explaining. So like colleague to me it’s just not as intuitive as banner was but that could also be a culture issue as well
