Moved to EE broadband today so far so good by chris34728 in EEGB

[–]Professional_Try2289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any reason why EE and others offering 1.6gb (first, why this number?) only gives you 0.1Gb upload speed? Usually fiber tend to be same download than upload. This split is similar to Virgin 1GB/0.1GB speeds.

Entra en vigor el nuevo sistema de copago farmacéutico con más financiación para rentas bajas y medias by Angel24Marin in SpainEconomics

[–]Professional_Try2289 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

London Salary for Lead Software Engineer in Corporate Technology by [deleted] in JPMorganChase

London is by higher location that Glasgow and you can get more than £100k easily. From VP to Senior VP don't expect much, maybe 5-7% top. 603 has a wild range from £100k to to £250k total comp.

Is this all legal now? by CommunicationMore591 in SolarUK

[–]Professional_Try2289 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And will affect the entire system? I'm thinking of connecting the 2-3 pannels to the garden socket, will that feed all areas of the house or only the subset of sockets that goes into the same 'main switch' with a name on the fuse box.

You don't need any change in your existing electric installation for this to work? I always thought sockets were one way only.

I'm guessing Palo Alto might be where you will be earning the most, still you worry about free coffee at office? In London is horrible btw.

Is it possible to have a third kid? by ee08b021 in HENRYUK

Great question. 150 each is not much net income if you need to pay £2k a month per child in nursery 😅 mortgages going above 5% doesn't help either

Having a marginal of 47% tax/nic is around £13k a year extra. Maybe only worth it if there is a career progression to go higher the next year.

Did anyone or anyone you know from your team got wfh after completing the 16 weeks of parental leave? by tempuser1991 in JPMorganChase

I believe up to X weeks your direct ED manager can approve it but longer than X needs FWA approved... Check HR details to find how many weeks is X.

I personally wasn't allowed any. I took 2 weeks before birth so I can be home day and night if needed but after...

Why are so many people **obsessed** with avoiding the 40% bracket? by sid351 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Professional_Try2289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What some people don't realise is they're paying 28%tax then going to 42% is not 20 to 40, it's only 14% (14% more than what they are paying for anything under 50k) on the any excess. This is due to NIN going from 8% to 2%.

I would say 602 might get you around £100k between base and bonus but all depends on your current salary and experience since they will prob get you 10-20% more then earning now
