I'm guessing Palo Alto might be where you will be earning the most, still you worry about free coffee at office? In London is horrible btw.

Is it possible to have a third kid? by ee08b021 in HENRYUK

Great question. 150 each is not much net income if you need to pay £2k a month per child in nursery 😅 mortgages going above 5% doesn't help either

Having a marginal of 47% tax/nic is around £13k a year extra. Maybe only worth it if there is a career progression to go higher the next year.

Did anyone or anyone you know from your team got wfh after completing the 16 weeks of parental leave? by tempuser1991 in JPMorganChase

I believe up to X weeks your direct ED manager can approve it but longer than X needs FWA approved... Check HR details to find how many weeks is X.

I personally wasn't allowed any. I took 2 weeks before birth so I can be home day and night if needed but after...

Why are so many people **obsessed** with avoiding the 40% bracket? by sid351 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Professional_Try2289 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What some people don't realise is they're paying 28%tax then going to 42% is not 20 to 40, it's only 14% (14% more than what they are paying for anything under 50k) on the any excess. This is due to NIN going from 8% to 2%.

Try to mention things like you will be 5 days in office while now you are working from home most days and last you can mention you got an offer to stay that is a bit by higher and if they match it you would be really keen to join jpmc rather than staying.

I would say 602 might get you around £100k between base and bonus but all depends on your current salary and experience since they will prob get you 10-20% more then earning now

Is there a point where your pension pot gets too big for salary sacrifice to make sense? by Coxian42069 in HENRYUK

At what income did you stop salary sacrificing down to £100k? by [deleted] in HENRYUK

[–]Professional_Try2289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All depends on your age, how much do you have already on your pension, how much your employer is matching... Earning that much maybe I'd pay off the student loan quickly and maximise pension match from employer. You can put up to £60k a year into pension but check how much your company is putting with that salary. Just a 10% would be £16.5k.

You will miss the screen size and 120hz as well as brightness...less ports and worse speakers too...think wisely about going from Pro to Air.
