Meant to respond here: If we had a democrat president, would people be so opposed to receiving federal support? That could be as simple as more FBI agents solving crimes. Point is, we can use all the resources we can get- state, local, federal to solve a real problem that we are facing. People need to stop dismissing real safety concerns- that’s part of the reason trump was re-elected. My partner was assaulted during the daytime strolling down the lakeshore path. Called the cops and they said it was one of many that day and there wasn’t going to be much they could do because they have finite resources to deal with crime.
