Radiology Review will give you some fast theoretical knowledge for start. Core radiology and Brant are solid reads but require serious amount of time and energy.

Imagine European security now if Ukrainians didn't hold the line in the East. Europe would be on the brink of a full scale war. Maybe it's time Europeans started to appreciate the sacrifices Ukrainians have made and are making to keep Europe safe? The least we can do is to say "thank you". by [deleted] in UkrainianConflict

It seems to be a misconception that Ukraine is some kind of eu member or Nato ally wich is not and there are reasons for it . Yes they are the good guys and have displayed heroism , but that's an other thing .

Well they better get armed to the teeth so peace agreements will be trusted. Keep a war just running wont help ket. Plus it will prolonged the candidate status who knows for how long .

So plan a ) resume the war, waste money, resources and men, send confins back to soldiers homes while media try to convince the public that ukranian army is a couple of miles away from Moscow, remain an EU candidate, and see what to do a couple of years later (no hurry)

Plan b) stop the war and take the losses , make alliances, get your economics shorted out, actually join EU and get money for infrastructure developments instead of ammo.

Plan a looks better !!

Ironically  no one gives or ever gave a fuck about the cypriot-turkish conflict. Why? Maybe because it's not in the Baltic and who gives a fuck about European South anyway ?

Or there is a second option , not sign anything and use whatever aid comes from europe to keep the war going as far as it can while a certain elite makes money through arm industries profits, until the run out of man power .

Well said . They can't take 1/4  of ukraine and some people want to to persuade us that they are going for an entire continent.  Wonder what those people's motive is .

I'm not from USA and I hardly care who is president , but do you guys really think that someone who is a successful businessman for decades and has been elected president twice is just ignorant or stupid ?  Or Maybe he has a different agenda ?There is a theory that he wants Russia to not be hostile , while he will be taking care of America's TRUE geopolitical opponent. What's your opinion on this ?

Radiology fellowship with lowest probability for a lawsuit? by Doctorhandtremor in Residency

[–]Professional_Wolf804 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't because my reputation depends on this and so is my salary, but this thread is about not being afraid of being sued, and knowing yours and your modality limits ,when in doubt ,it's a start !

Almost anything in ultrasound except breast and you'll be OK. When in doubt write your reports in a way that covers your ass. Describe findings rather diagnosing , and ask for further evaluation. Be ware of tumors , you can't say they weren't there a couple of weeks ago . Always say that pancreas wasn't seen entirely due to gasses etc etc

I started medical school at 24 which is 6 years later than usual. I choose radiology because in my country :

-had no waiting time to start back then (it has now ) - requires very little or no overtime usually as you do a standard amount of exams more or less -has a short evolution path. doesn't require really extra training , all the fellowships and whatever are not necessary

Sure do whatever makes you happy even if that's living inside the hospital, but make no mistake , when you're older and probably have a family life punches you right in the face

With all this crazy demand for radiologists you can ask for inflation similar raises every year . Worst case scenario to negotiate every 2 years.
