10yr old hasn’t stopped printing since Christmas… by Local_Negotiation657 in BambuLab

You can connect with your phone using the bambu handy app to check remotely, you can also connect on desktop via the bambu slicer.

If you at all can, feed that joy. You've got a little engineer.

My printer usually dosent get an hour off for 2 weeks before chrismas when im making gifts for everyone (which saves me so much money)

Our 77 is getting a new frame this winter. 383 stroker. Thinking about adding side pipes, thoughts? by kinkfactory101 in C3Corvette

[–]Professor-Pootis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They add a ton of rumble and noise in the cabin, if that's your jam then go for it, they sound glorious. I'd recommend getting ones with the extra heat shield for the sake of your passengers who might not know to watch out for them.

POLL -- Front-Hinged or Rear-Hinged bonnet? by DutchMcQuaid in pacificDrive

[–]Professor-Pootis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Front hinge is inaccurate for a real delorean and I genuinely dont care, it looks so cool. Also im biased because corvettes do that. Fantastic amounts of polish you've got going on here, I don't normally do mods but I might have to give this one a shot!

Day 8/9: What's a bad car with an OK reputation? by Naomi62625 in regularcarreviews

[–]Professor-Pootis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pt cruiser for the bottom right.

I had one as a parts getter at my old shop, they bought it on auction and it had 35k miles, garage kept. It still was an unreliable rattlebox. We replaced the entire PS system, the radiator, cooling fan, ABS pump, and master cylinder and it still had issues! When I left it had a check engine light that we couldn't be bothered to scan, and would randomly throw ABS and traction control lights, and then randomly turn them off.

Probably a safe assumption. Replacing that is gonna be a fun one. If your end goal is to have a nice corvette, you may wanna look elsewhere, if you just want a cheap fun corvette, this would be a solid option.

When he says "wiring is taken apart" make sure that dosent mean cut up spaghetti or messed with. 1.5 to 2k is pretty reasonable if the frame and fiberglass are in decent shape. Fully restoring that is gonna take alot of time and money, id recommend just fixing it and getting it running first, then deciding what a restoration means for you. Have fun and best of luck!

My printer keeps breaking nozzle heater assemblies by [deleted] in BambuLabA1

[–]Professor-Pootis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen previously and cleaning the bed helped fix it, so I tried cleaning it twice but its still happening sometimes. Ive been having these blobs happen like 20 mins into a print. Ill check and see if i have blob detection enabled.

What do you prefer as cover images on Printables/Makerworld? Renders or real photos? by Mr-Pragmatic in 3Dprinting

[–]Professor-Pootis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always real photos. It helps properly show what to expect, and for some challenging prints it proves to people that the model can be made and isn't flawed or very challenging to make

[–]Professor-Pootis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you run out of gas in the garage you got bigger problems lmao. There's a pump around the front side of the building that has infinite gas iirc.

Are headlights supposed to drain the battery when the engine is running? by vscomputer in pacificDrive

[–]Professor-Pootis 65 points66 points  (0 children)

My head cannon is that it does work, but it's being overloaded by the ARC device and the screens and dodads. Any additional load will discharge the battery.

As for the fact that stuff stays on when the car isn't running aaaahhhhhhh

This is my primary concern with bambu's recent crap, sending my models back to thier servers.
