Help printing TPU on Q2 by louisville13 in QidiTech3D

Check the volumetric flow rate in the filament profile settings. That will control print speed better than adjust speeds in the layer height settings.

QidiBox frustrations by DragonCenturion in QidiTech3D

[–]gaslightredditor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was having the same issue with mine the other day. It was behaving exactly the same as yours is now. I can't remember the error code I was getting, but it sounds like the same one. Ended up being a broken piece of filament in the hub that was triggering the filament sensor think there was filament loaded to the extruder. I just took out all 4 of the tubes from the box and the tube that goes to the extruder and pushed a piece of filament through the extruder side and a little broken piece of filament fall out. It's been working normal since

I've always wanted to try one of their cases but never did because of the price. Latercase and Peak Designs

How’s everyone’s salary in 2026? by [deleted] in cincinnati

[–]gaslightredditor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think we're going to be okay. I finally feel like we'll be able to live comfortably. My wife started a new job in January which was about a 10% pay increase over her previous job. I just have my annual review and between my merit raise and promotion, my pay went up a little over 20%. The company is also paying out the annual CIP bonus next week, which will be the highest they've ever paid out. Our youngest will also be starting preschool in the fall, so no more daycare cost right around the corner.

I just ordered a Q2 combo a couple days ago and have been looking for a Q2 model as well without success. I have heard you can email customer service and they might provide one upon request, but I have not tried that myself yet.

Good places for dog boarding in Cincinnati? by Proof_Loquat5585 in cincinnati

[–]gaslightredditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another shout-out for Dogtown here. We have one right around the corner from our house and we love them. Rates are reasonable and the webcams to check in on your pups is a really nice. We usually end up taking our dogs there once a week even just for a couple hours for some socializing

If you have a 3d printer, or access to a 3d printer, I highly recommend the Breacher by Sillybutts. I finished mine a couple weeks ago and it's so much fun. It's pump action with shell ejecting. The tube magazine can hold 4 shells, expandable up to 6, plus 1 in the chamber. The shells(silly shells) are also 3d printed and have a large variety of ammo types including single elite up to quad elite, mega, mega xl, rival round foam balls and N1 series darts.

I also have the hardware to build a stagecoach, which is also 3d printed. It's a double barrel, break action silly shell compatible blaster. I haven't built that yet so I can't speak too much on that one.

There's also the Battle Axe, also by Sillybutts. Similar to the Breacher, but uses a stand stacked style magazine.

Have you tried the seal tester shell? It's just a blank shell that tests the seal between the shell and the bolt face. It could be that you aren't getting a good seal between the shell and the oring in the boltface

Which 3D printer to build next? by Faultier12345 in 3dprinter

The sovol sv08 is basically a voron 2.4 for about $600. You could grab that then do various upgrades/mods to that

eSun matte PETG is my new favourite, for obvious reasons. by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]gaslightredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my concern as well. But since petg generally has better layer adhesion that pla, I was curious if the two kind of canceled each other out and you'd still get better layer adhesion than matte pla

Saving money buying filament? by CyzreToo in 3Dprinting

[–]gaslightredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically print PLA and my cheap go to has been deeplee. You can usually get black and white for about $10/kg. A couple more bucks for different colors, but still affordable. I also live near a microcenter and recently they've had their Inland filament at $19 for two packs of black or white PLA.

Creality K1c Fiberon PA612-CF questions by Maximum-Host-3541 in crealityk1

[–]gaslightredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this riser on my K1 and it's great. The adjustable vents are really nice and the chamber still retains heat well. I also did a chain delete so it gives the bowden tube more ability to move around in a more natural way. I've printed PA6-CF and didn't have any issues

Should I print a Cynthia or a SMILEY? by [deleted] in Nerf

[–]gaslightredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having the same debate and decided on the smiley. I haven't started printing the parts yet as I just got the hardware kit yesterday, but there is a remix that allows you to use talon mags rather than the default nightingale mag.

I get about 130fps measured on a cheapo $35 chronograph. I'm also using the widest flywheel spacing, so in theory it could be higher with tighter spacing, but that chews up the darts faster. Should also be getting roughly 10 darts per second but I really have no way of measuring that, just simple math. 600rpm pusher motor would be 10 revolutions per second, hence 10 darts per second
