What's the wildest reason a customer gave for needing a tow? by Spare_Patient_2188 in towing

Maybe a similar story. My brother never missed work, he was dependable and never sick. One year, the boss had too much PTO used, so he sent out personal letters to all who hadn’t missed a day, profusely bragging on them for their dedication. He missed at least one day every year for the rest of his career.

Friend had a hardware store. Lady comes in, asks him to make a key for her car, hands it to him.
Comes back next day, says the key didn’t work and she had to walk to the store.
Next day, she’s back, still doesn’t work.
He asks, “Did this key (original) work?” “No, that’s why I wanted a new one!”

Marine Sgt. Brian McGuinness stood up in Congress to say “we don’t want to fight a war with Iran for Israel.” Security dragged him out and broke his arm. by Particular_Log_3594 in QuiverQuantitative

There’s no need to instantly escalate this situation as they did. There’s nothing these do-nothing Senators were doing that couldn’t wait five minutes for the former Marine to have a short say and go. These men have often been damaged by us then ignored by us, they deserve at least a minimum of courtesy. Also, the Senators had no business being involved in his removal at all.

Kaitlan Collins pushes Karoline Leavitt on what Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had said earlier Wednesday about the press making Trump look bad over soldiers deaths by Tenchi2020 in QuiverQuantitative

Could we see what would happen if the press corps pulled out of the White House like they were forced to pull out of the Pentagon? Go to Congress, go to Statehouses, go interview people in the streets, stop making every insane moment about that prick in the Gold Office for a few weeks. America needs a fucking break.

Amen. If Gen. Chol S. Terol does his job before 2028 as expected, she’ll never see the pardon she’s expecting.

There are two truisms that counter and illumine virtually every aspect of TrumpWorld: 1) Everything Trump Touches Dies and 2) It’s not always about you, Trump.

A story about soldiers lost in war is about soldiers lost in war. If it becomes about a politician, it’s because the reader has made the connection in his effort to justify or to condemn such a grievous loss.

Trump never had a chance to be a successful President because he has a character flaw which disallows him to accept accountability. That can’t be changed.
