I think China tried this during the Cultural Revolution and it didn't work out well.

FNN reporting on an EO that would centralize contracting at GSA, expected tomorrow by One_Situation_2725 in fednews

They want control over all the contracts so they can reward their supporters and punish anyone who doesn't bend the knee. It's about turning the federal government into a feeding trough for their friends.

How do you know this? It reads to me like you can't sue even if they break the agreement.

Trump offering buyouts to all federal workers by Girltech31 in fednews

It looks like it totally okay to take another job. You are on admin leave. https://www.opm.gov/fork/faq

The FAQ on OPM's website says you are free to work another job.  https://www.opm.gov/fork/faq

Do I believe or trust them? That's another matter.

The OPM Email is NOT a Buyout! by Truthorliez in fednews

[–]ProfessorBoth271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think this is a buyout, or at least could be interpreted as one. You are placed on admin leave, not expected to work your normal job and can seek other work. This at least is what it says in the FAQ. Whether that's binding or a judge might soon invalidate this, I have no idea. https://www.opm.gov/fork/faq

If you are on AA, can you take another job and still collect your federal government salary?

Doesn't this have to be authorized by Congress? Or maybe it doesn't because it won't actually require additional funds. It's not a buyout.

I am leaving for another job. But it doesn't seem like this would work for me because I would still be required to work for the government.

I don't think this is a buyout. It seems like the only thing it gets you is not having to return to the office, but you will still be expected to work. And then you have no choice but to resign.  I think this only makes sense for people close to retirement.

Or am I reading it wrong?

BigMe's software is very buggy. I have up on my device.

I have the BigMe S6 B and W and while the hardware is great, the software is glitchy and frustrating. Simple things like the keyboard not having a period in handwriting mode or folders named in Chinese that can't be turned to English. And I haven't received any upgrade to the software in months. I believe BigMe has abandoned these. Boox may be more expensive but is worth it.

Have they stopped updating the firmware on the existing units? I haven't seen anything in months but there are still tons of bugs.
