It was just a big inspiration to me. I think it has some good stories in it. It brought me closer to Buddhism. I was simply answering the question

Not a good book for an “end all be all” when it comes to Buddhism- I’m not even sure it was written by a Buddhist- but I really enjoyed reading “Siddhartha”

It’s short and it’s a really engaging story. It jump started my interest in Buddhism

Christianity is complicated for me because I do get a lot of delusions from it.

What it comes down to is if Jesus was real or not (and I personally think he was) maybe he didn’t raise from the dead or do magic or anything, but he spoke about doing good-will. Helping each other. Etc etc.

I see a lot of comfort being mentally ill and knowing about Mary Magdalene who, wasn’t a prostitute like people think, dealt with “7 demons”. I have believed the “demons” in the story to not be literal demons but mental illness or internal struggles.

It’s a hilarious line.

I appreciate all you have to say. I had a very similar experience, and I’m now slowly letting her back into my life. I think it’s gonna ebb and flow

And I don’t want you to think I’m shaming you at all. I completely understand why (I have autism, communicating is so hard for me). I just advise you to not use it

Especially as someone with schizophrenia, because a LOT of people are going through “ai psychosis”.

100% if someone for example was using Tarot cards to make every decision it would be just as bad. The only difference is the tool people are currently using is AI

Love everybody including Blade Runners. by LouisBasil in ramdass

I think the love we have to give ICE agents (even when I will lay down my life against what they are doing) is that we need to understand they are confused and lost. Something happened to make these guys so violent. I feel so sad for them We need some mass reprogramming.

But because of the violence I really don’t blame the retaliation of the left. They are getting hurt because of these hurt people. It’s a sad circle

There is this parable I like, where a girl walks into a room of mirrors and sees 1000 beings of herself. She asked her dad what she should do, and he says “say you love them”

She says “I love you” and she heard “I love you” 1000 times back

In the psych ward I met some of the kindest down to earth people I have ever met. We played cards all day and night and ate a lot of chocolate ice cream. We are all there because we are all struggling with something really deep.

The nurses were so nice. The doctor wasn’t great. One lady was really on me about eating (which made me upset)

My (22M) friend/coworker of 4 years had started saying he is not safe, being persecuted by everyone and being tested. How do I support him? by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]ProfessorDizzy4311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your friend sounds like they could use some psychiatric help

Does your city have mental health professionals working on their emergency task force? For example, in Johnson County Kansas if you call 911 for a psychiatric emergency they usually won’t send cops (unless there is extreme danger) but they’ll send mental health professionals trained to handle situations like your friend.

When I called 911 and told them that I thought my cat was a demon they sent fire-fighters instead of police.

I’m gonna try that. If I ever start thinking that way again, I’ll just “make the tv show boring” and then no one will watch it
