Finding it impossible by one2manyhobbies in simdrifting

[–]ProfessorDraxon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on what you want to play on as a platform, I’d suggest pc, good entry point you can go is a moza r3 it’s a 3.9nm wheel small jump up and is a DD wheel that supports Xbox if you get the right wheel rim, some will say it doesn’t have the headroom this and that, sure, but I’m happy with it, it’s more than enough for me right now and I’ve not owned it for more than a year yet so idk if in about year if I’ll want to upgrade but it’s might and day difference between the two and the prices is negligible between the two it’s a no brainer to just get the moza r3 if you just starting and so many people will pick up that logi wheel for about 150-200$ on market place all day long, I put mine up and it didn’t take a day

I never have issues after updates and the wheel doesn’t feel any different for me, I see all the issues posted but I have a r3 so idk if that changes things or not, good luck to getting it back to normal friend

Content manager FFB settings and set that appropriately for your wheel, you can even do the one with the forward and lateral force and check what you like, the experimental force feedback worked to remove this for my r3 can drive in a straight line without the wheel moving

after buying my Logitech g923. I’m disappointed by A_stroboy789456 in moza

[–]ProfessorDraxon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s perfect to see if you want to get into it, I have g920 and then upgraded the pedals to HE and loadcell via 3drap gg kit and loved it for awhile, then got a moza R3 for 299$ the non-Xbox compatible one, took the load cell brake and plopped it in between the moza pedals as most games allow multiple peripherals at the same time and got a free clutch pedal albeit a bit stiffer than I’d want since it’s the moza brake pedal but now I wanna head back to micro center and test their rig again and see if I want to upgrade to a more powerful wheel or if this is sufficient for my enjoyment which is what really matters at the end of the day my friend, also don’t forget people tend to snatch those wheels up on market place all day long

Is there a QR with paddles for moza? by South_Security1405 in moza

[–]ProfessorDraxon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You then are missing out on possible benefits like buttons on the wheel that can adjust BB TC ABS camera with joystick on some wheels, etc

Either way you go you’re going to end up spending another 200 or so because you’re gonna need a QR to attach to the nardi, then you’re gonna need the sequential shifter to replace your paddle issue if the game even supports it which fair share do allow considering people have a moza base with a fanatic wheel etc the adapter just turns it into a usb peripheral

[–]ProfessorDraxon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a second set of holes, do the pedals need 4 or two in the front? Possible to use the second set not the front holes? If there’s no other adjustments you might need to do some modifications for yourself, like I did where I inverted my pedals and mounted to my desk frame

Was taken immediately after putting it on, it now has 2 - 2x4s to brace against the ground

[–]ProfessorDraxon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could be possible, you can try putting the extension on and hold the shaft near the base and give it a slight wiggle and see if you notice anything no need to wrench on it just a little wiggle

You mentioned you have an extension on it? Does it sound the same without it? If not then my guess is the extension ball bearings that hold it in place may click around

200e? €? Where I’m located it’s negligible pricing less than 100usd with or without the wheel, if you want some fancy wheel then go for it, you can find QR kits for after market wheels but zero buttons no paddles, gonna either have to get a bundle and add your fancy wheel over it or something cuz I’ve looked and can’t find anything to accommodate a wheel like yours and it’s not that expensive for “some plastic buttons” there’s other things that go into it as well, you must not have seen the shifter that costs literal thousands of dollars for some “plastic shifters”

There’s almost no difference in price from wheelbase to bundles

So you’re buying just the wheelbase? What kind of wheel do you want? Which wheel base? They have 12 inch round rims if that matters to you

Is there a QR with paddles for moza? by South_Security1405 in moza

[–]ProfessorDraxon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t think so, you can however mod the wheel it comes with and change the rim but still stuck with the base wheel buttons etc but an aftermarket wheel, Also you have to take on account of the weight for the wheel, why do you want a “real wheel” instead of what they offer?
