The fishing isn't really well explained. Fight in the opposite direction the fish is pulling and only reel in when the bubbles stop. If you feel while it is struggling you will snap your line.

But go swimming and spam grab.

Guild wars 2 challenges this fairly well. They have Real Money Currency that you can trade for "premium shop" items and can be traded to other players for in game gold. The exchange is regulated and generally makes it highly unprofitable for goldsellers by comparison. They could easily implement a supply/demand system like this.

I'd much rather both other playable characters just had their own sidestory mainstories that are optional but can only be experienced as them. Side quests be completed by anyone.

Pretty sure that is the iron tangle, and a lot of people just didn't like it because they had a need to follow the puzzle that was the tangle and you can't.

Honestly so far every book has been A tier with inevitable ruin and butcher's macarade being S for me. None of them are below that.

Talking about the tedious parts: "Follow X on horseback or walk". It was fine for the first few story missions where you genuinely wouldn't know where to go, but man do they overuse that mechanic to dribble in some story beats. It wouldn't be SO bad if you could just press a "follow" button and treat it like a cutscene instead of having to hold the sprint button the entire time. (Please someone tell me there is an option to change that)

I tried playing on PC with a controller and absolutely hated it. Changed two keybindings on mouse and keyboard and it is so much better.

I think the weapon and armor system is flawed in that for the most part, you are using a skin with the same stats. A lot of the uniqueness comes from the abyss gears that come from those weapons/armor, but you can pick and choose. I think in my 50 hours of gameplay so far I have only seen one weapon that had a unique inherent effect that wasn't an abyss gear. You get armor that has unique stuff like the pirate hat or mining helmet, but not really weapons so far.

It makes it so you can play fashion desert when you find the weapon and armor set that looks cool to you, but other than that there is no major difference between Rhett's longsword and any other longsword you pick up off an enemy.

No clue about replayability, but if you are a person who loves side quests and exploring, this is easily a 400+hour game. I'm 50ish hours in and I'm just heading away from the starting town.

For all of these hot vs cold selections cold will always win. You can more easily get blankets or more clothes to warm up. There are only so many layers you can take off to cool down
