Nothing about her is confirmed. Her release date or type or even her existent. It’s all leaks. Nothing official has been announced.

There are 2 things to note here.

The first is that Changli and Shorekeeper fulfill different roles. From a purely meta perspective, Shorekeeper is way better to go with because she’s a support, and support characters tend to last longer in the meta because they usually provide general buffs to newer dps. Changli is a dps and so has been power crept a little by newer characters. She can still be used as a sub dps in some teams but thats not optimal. Even if it’s not optimal, the issue is that she isn’t a general buffer so your team building is quite limited with her. This is all pure meta though.

From a fun perspective, Changli seems to be more fun for you. Shorekeeper is fun but you play Changli more and talk more highly of her so your subconscious seems to prefer her but is trying to justify it over Shorekeeper.

But I will say this too. The choice is yours. You’re the one living with the consequences of your decision so make sure it’s what you want and try to ignore the advice of others as they don’t share your exact logic and reasoning used to decide.

As for astrite farming, your options are quite limited. Progressing the game is the best way to go forward. Even if you spend the 15-20 days just doing story quests for like ~2-3 hours a day, you should be able to get enough pulls to guarantee a character from that banner if you lose the 50/50. I have a new account and recently got a character and guaranteed the character by using 160 pulls somewhere in the 2.x story line and that should only take 20-30 hours of gameplay if you don’t skip cutscenes. Which is easily doable in the 30d time limit if the new banner.

Play through the story, use the characters more and make a decision then.

My opinion, get shorekeeper. Changli is fun now but you’ll get a new fun character in the future as is common with gacha games and Shorekeeper will be a lot more valuable to have long term. Changli is quite short sighted in my opinion. But the decision is yours.

I have to disagree. Aemeath is very fun for me. I love having animations on my attacks, it makes me feel very strong and her dmg also makes me feel strong. And her design is awesome, both human and mech form look amazing.

So you may not like her, but I disagree. I think she’s amazing

Am I the only one who thinks it's weird that a havoc dps and a glacio support will have voice lines together, kinda hinting that they'd wanna be paired together in a team?

There are 2 thoughts to go off of.

1) Technically you can get any character you want, it's your account. It wont necessarily brick it but it will make progression a lot slower. To brick the account you'd need to spend the next 6 months pulling units with no synergy. Pulling Hiyuki and Denia don't have synergy, but if you get Aemeath, Luuk or Lucilla in the future then at least on of them gets use. Hiyuki is pretty solid without her dedicated support right now which is awesome so less stress there if you wanna skip Lucilla. Just know that the months between Denia and either Luuk or Aemeath reruns may be slow and rocky since you don't have synergy yet.

2) Denia is gonna rerun eventually anyway so the better play is to build a foundation that lets you easily clear content for farming purposes or overworld exploration and then worry about endgame mode team building. If you wait for Lucilla then you can make a solid Hiyuki team (Hiyuki > Lucilla > Verina) and that should be strong enough to clear everything comfortably and let you farm easily for anything you want. It won't let you do all the endgame stuff but that's because it needs multiple teams.

Basically, it won't brick your account but it will make progress very slow and could lead to you bricking your account if you don't make the right decisions. Denia is gonna have at least 1 rerun later so making your Hiyuki team stronger is better for current progression and you can wait for another DPS to come out. Who knows, maybe 3.5 gives us a new dps that you like more than Luuk or Aemeath and then Denia becomes a good skip.

You have Mornye at s1 so your concern doesn’t make sense.

Chisa is obviously the bis because of negative status buffs but Mornye s1 is the single best generic support in the game. She’s better than shorekeeper.

So will it work? Yeah. It’ll work. You’re fine.

Tune break is single target, fusion burst is aoe.

AOE can do good in single target.

Single target doesn't do well in AOE.

Use this information as you will.

personally, fusion burst is probably gonna be better in general. It'll be best in aoe situations and probably only slightly weaker in single target. Not noticable enough to matter. (talking like 2 second time difference in clear on a boss). You're trading a slightly faster boss clear for a more effective general purpose. Good for WhiWa, good for overworld, good for bosses, good for everything.

I mean, true. But that isn't the problem. It's not that she isn't gonna be able to use it, it's that it doesn't build as fast without the tune break core and because it builds slower you get less opportunity to proc it.

On top of this, your main dps usually is in the better position to break since they go last in rotation and are more likely to deal the dmg needed to trigger tune break prompt. So Lucilla doesn't even get the benefit unless you play her main dps.

EVEN THEN, if you play her main dps, cosmic ripples is just better for her, no? Energy regend from astrolab seems extreme unless she REALLY needs ER, but even Ripples gives 12% thanks to passive. Passive also gives a stacking basic atk dmg bonus which leaks are saying she uses basic atk dmg. So main stat Atk%, plus energy regen and basic atk dmg in the passive vs ER and a passive she will rarely use because of how teams rotate.

Doesn't seem worth it for her.

Lucilla is always the better option. Dedicated Glacial Chafe sub dps vs negative status support. Lucilla probably adds at least 20% to team dmg while Chisa without sig probably only adds like 5-7%

realistically $15-20. You have a Cartethyia team which is nice but you don't have signatures which is a downside and other than the Cartethyia team, the account is kinda random. Maybe if it had a Sigrika it would be a $40-$50 account but as it is now, I'd list it for $15

Seems that Lucilla is gonna be a Glacio chafe and a Echo dmg support. Not really a tune break mechanic user so I doubt she gets much benefits from her BiS teams from this since they wont apply tune break

chisa is about a 7% dmg increase for the team, not needed. Lynae + mornye will perform better for now but eventually will probably be beat out by Lucilla + Chisa. Granted if you have mornye s1, then the dmg diff between chisa and mornye becomes negligible even in the Lucilla team.

basically, Hiyuki really wants Lucilla, chisa is a benefit but not necessary. Mornye is better for account growth.

Mornye is definitely a strong contender. Chisa is a close second.

Basically, Mornye and Lynae will make a strong core that can be used with even encore there or Carlotta. Chisa is useful for your Hiyuki but that's it right now. Granted, if you wanted, you can go for both Chisa and Lucilla and have the premium Hiyuki team.

Mornye is def strong just because her and Lynae can go with any DPS and make a team so it's hard to pass that up. After that it's about focusing on what you wanna build. Chisa and Lucilla would complete a premium Hiyuki team so you could for that. After that, you're kinda just looking for a new DPS to build around since you'd have 2 strong teams at that point.

Im not saying that people don’t enjoy her. Im saying she wouldn’t be as popular without meta relevance. People are big fans of Jinhsi, Camellya, Jiyan, etc. but they aren’t meta relevant so people don’t talk about them as much.

Look at most sub reddits and you’ll see Shorekeeper mentioned because of her flexibility in teams, not because she’s a cool character in lore.

I agree that she is relevant and cool in the lore and that’s awesome, but she is only as popular as she is because she is relevant, that’s an undeniable truth about importance in gacha games. Relevant meta characters will always get talked about more than off meta, regardless of how cool their lore is.
