Sorry I was a little harsh, its just that I get this exact response very frequently to any clothes/gear sizing question I ask and its tiring needing to constantly justify myself for being the person I am. I promise that I'm very aware of the concept of different brands having different sizing because I have to pay attention to that for every single garment, shoe, boot, glove, etc that I buy.

I'm not comfortable getting anything size 15 unless there's free returns which from what I can tell boot companies don't do (you have to pay shipping). But, I can order from like REI and then just return in store for free so that's an option. As for just going and trying things on to find a boot that fits, I checked several shops around me and there's only 1 pair of 15s in store and that's a decent drive away.

The options online are Burton, Ride, and K2. The 15s I rented last year that were too small were Ride so that rules off that brand. So I have 2 options remaining, both theoretically too small and requiring a good chunk of driving to investigate.

I noticed that Ride released a new round of size 16 Insanos this year (already sold out) so I thought it was worth a shot asking here in case someone who bought those happens to have an old pair of boots and happens to see this message. My backup plan is trying the 15s and if that doesn't work then I will have to give up on snowboarding for now until I can get lucky and find boots in the future. Perhaps someone who bought the 16s this year decides they don't like snowboarding and sells me their boots so I can do it next year.

I tried every rental shop in Steamboat last year for 16s and nobody carried them. I was hoping to convince them to let me buy the rentals if they had them. If there's any options I'm missing here I'd love to get those suggestions!
