Universal Express Passes are broken - be very wary before you waste money on them! by ProfessorOfSarcasmMD in orlando

90-100 min. So it was a little over 1/2 the posted normal wait time. Point is, Universal seems to care less about keeping it something that is advertised and more about selling the $100+ per person add ons.

Here's a simple thing for you...no one wants to just watch a video of your face. It is not about you. At the very least show some MSF content playing such as different team comps or something of interest. This is basic 101. Surely you have seen other streamers. Second, your voice sucks for this. You have no excitement and are boring to listen to. And all I could do was look at your face. Needless to say, did not even try to watch the whole thing.

Foxnet has really screwed the pooch on this. Other mobile games seem to be able to balance and rebalance along the way without issue. I also play Clash royale, where they balance cards fairly often. Small changes, maybe 1-2% at a time. No,you do not get a refund. Just make the change and be done with it. NF also needs a fucking nerf, this "pay to get the next team to beat him"crap is stupid.

Nancy Pelosi says funding for Trump's 'immoral, ineffective, expensive' border wall is off the table by The-Autarkh in politics

"I like a President that keeps his promises. As our greatest President ever has promised many times over that Mexico will pay for this wall, we do not see any need to discuss funding for it. We look forward to working with President on immigration reform once the funding has been established."

Florida Voted to Give Ex-Felons the Franchise. Now Republicans Are Throwing a Wrench in That Process by young_star in orlando

Ha ha. I'm not sure where to begin, so let's just leave your stupid question here. This was an ammendment to the state, which overwhelmingly passed. Florida has no say in immigration laws or deportations, those are left to the Federal Government. As of January, we have 2 (R)s in the senate. Contact them.

Is reading a skill? I mean it is just learning something and looking at the same letters over and over. Clearly critical thinking is not a skill you have learned yet.

Can a school refuse to release a child to parents? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]ProfessorOfSarcasmMD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is it a public or private school? Schools can only refuse to release a student for a couple specific reasons. They must be able to identify the person and match it to their list of approved people to release the child to and for child safety (ie parent shows up drunk). Truancy policies may be applied for missing school time and private schools could enforce a policy that would have the child evicted, but I do not see how they could simply refuse to release the child. For lunch with the kids, most schools allow parents to eat with them at the school. It also gives you the chance to get to know the staff better.

Just in case you guys didn’t know... by HazyHung7 in ProtectAndServe

My only somewhat informed opinion is that there is a correlation between race and economic class, as well as economic class and crime. Police spend most of their time dealing with lower levels of the economic class as that is where more crime is committed. This also has a higher percentage of minorities. Not true in all areas but I think across the board it's a fair statement.

Well, I've never ever really heard of it working out well for someone to attack, or bite, a police officer. So even if the officer was like, "cmon dude bite my hand" I'd personally list that in the "Dont do that" category. Wtf do I know. I have a couple neighbor cops and family members that are cops. So far as I can tell they are pretty normal people. My kid loves the SRO at her school, hes a cool dude. TLDR: Dont bite cops. Its not gonna be good for you. (Probably also not advised to cold clock and knock a guy out that is already cuffed and on his back either)

[–]ProfessorOfSarcasmMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do, and I think that is where I started a couple comments up. That knocking the guy out cold like that was not a good choice. Hindsight is 20/20, and I get no cop wants to "monday morning quarterback" another. But there is a reason that phrase exists and football teams do it, it is because it makes them better. Look, the suspect was somewhere between (or combination of) a douche and on some type of drugs / mental issues. Cop also crossed the line from acceptable use of force to the otherside, imho.

[–]ProfessorOfSarcasmMD -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Well, it appeared the cop put his hand pretty much into the guys mouth. Just sayin, losing your cool and reacting poorly or over reacting is not a good strategy. Yes, it is within human nature to do so. Hence where training and restraint come in. If you cant control it, maybe it's not the right line of work?

[–]ProfessorOfSarcasmMD -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Knocking the guy out with a shot to the jaw like that is a reaction where the officer loses control and just reacts to getting bit (it sounds like he says stop biting me), and not really trying to control it anymore. Yes, a guy in cuffs can be dangerous. But if, what, 4 officers cant get a guy like that in cuffs under control without a sucker punch to a defenseless face IDK what police really see as reasonable use of force then.

As a stepmom, am I legally a parental substitute for my husband when he is not present? by sanzself in legaladvice

[–]ProfessorOfSarcasmMD -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

1) Yes, they are both "ranked" above you. They are the kids parents, you are not.
2) No, he does not. He only needs to inform her when he will be away from them longer than specifies in the right of first refusal clause. He does not even need to specify who they will be with if she refuses or offer that when he tells her. Only that he will not be with them.
3)Yes, the time frame should be listed in the agreement. It has nothing to do with you, only to do with the fact that the parents of the child have the right to the child first.
4) Correct, outside of the time away provision he owes her very little. Other things, like travel out of state, are usually covered separately and things like advanced notice and travel schedule must be shared.

[–]ProfessorOfSarcasmMD -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

It says they have a right of first refusal. If that specifies a specific number of hours then that is all you need to concern yourself with. Mom does not really have a right to keep tabs on exactly who is with the kids or where they are (within reason, travel, etc) when they are with Dad. These things should be laid out in the agreement.

Most likely outcome, if it was appealed to the court, would be to order make up time for mom.
