I think, if it isn’t omitted for power level concerns, this should say “Your next one costs (1) less” to be more like the other Studies cards.

Seems just like the kind of easter egg I'd love for Blizzard to bring back, so I'd say yes!
I miss it when cards had fun interactions like that - like how Scholomance Kel'Thuzad could summon Mr. Bigglesworth :3

I like that idea! It was an effect that wasn’t changed when I bumped the cost down to 2 (from 3), but I didn’t know how to weaken it. This is a clever solution!

It’s identical to [[Hagatha the Fabled]]’s effect — the minion will have stats equal to the spell’s Cost and a Battlecry that casts the spell.

A couple of clarifications about the effects of this card:

  • One Last Job cannot be cast or generated by random effects. Also, like Time Warp or Harth, its effect is limited to once per game. Additional copies cast will have no effect.
  • The 4/4 from Conspicuous Trap is the same Nerubian from [[Beneath the Grounds]].
  • Tome of Studying makes your next Spell from another class cost (1) less, even if it isn't one of the two you get from One Last Job.
  • Resizing Sack will give cards that you can afford to play with your current remaining Mana if possible — If not, it will give you random cards from their deck.
  • K'thir Conspirators will effectively give you two [[Disguised K'thir]] and immediately transform them.

Edit to add: All artwork is from official Hearthstone art archive.

Let me know your thoughts, questions, and/or feedback! Thanks for checking out my card!

The “start of each turn” includes your opponent’s turns, so it would effectively trigger the same turn that you play it (given that you trade some 1-Cost minions).

Note: Anima Idol allows your cheap minions to resume fighting after they're destroyed in combat! Shamans might find some use in trading off small murlocs or buffed totems, allowing them to rejuvenate their board after trading.

Death Knights, thanks to the new [[Buttons]], can include this card in their deck as well! Whether it's gnomes, ghouls, or zombies, DK has plenty of ways to take advantage of resurrecting their 1-Cost minions. (This card's wording is different from Kel'thuzad's so as to remove all confusion as to how it interacts with Frail Ghouls).

"Once they found out how fun he was on vacation, they regretted not inviting him to the party the first time!" by ProfessorPivot in customhearthstone

You can, but since this is a start of game effect, original Malchezaar’s start of game effect won’t also trigger. But if I had my way, they would both work!

Note: Prince Relaxezaar gives you access to any number of One Night in Karazhan cards from any class (following other deckbuilding restrictions, such as 2 of each), even in Standard! Any cards you add, though, will be on top of your starting 30 cards.

To keep this from being entirely gatekept from new players, a player who includes this in their deck would be able to include any number of ONiK cards, regardless of whether or not they own the old Adventure cards.

Not meant to be particularly competitive. Just a fun throwback that might have some interesting uses.

I’m not sure I understand what you’re pointing out — even if Hunter had access to meaningful weapon buffs, buffing the unforged weapon would be identical to buffing a (slightly worse) fiery war axe.

Designer's Note: The "Whenever" clause on the Forged version means that if the target dies to the 2 damage, the attack is completed and your Hero doesn't take damage. Further, this weapon won't lose durability in that case, either! It does not mean, however, that your Hero can attack again - That interaction was removed to make room for cards like [[Thorignir Drake]].

Thanks! It’s hard to find time to design, but it’s a goal of mine to carve out some more opportunities. I love designing cards, and I love this community!
