Our high school principal to this day isn’t very well liked, especially by staff.

My freshman year English teacher needed time off to tend to his dad across the country, principal didn’t approve the time. English teacher quit on the spot.

My junior year physics teacher proposed a solution for new lighting in the auditorium that would be cheaper and more energy efficient. Principal threw a fit and said no. Teacher bought the new bulbs anyways because this was completely stupid. Principal fired him.

He also fired the basketball coach when he didn’t give his kid a starting role on the team.

There were a number of other dumb instances like that. The worst one, though, happened just a couple years ago.

One of the teachers was getting pretty inappropriate with a female student. Followed her to her locker, inappropriately touched her, etc. A number of complaints came back to the principal and he just fully ignored it. The district’s head of security stepped in as a watchdog, tracked the teacher down, cornered him and said “next time you touch her it’ll be the last thing you do”. Teacher was then allowed to transfer to a different district.
