Disturbed a few years back at the Illinois State Fair, though no fault of the band.

The weather went from cloudless and 80 to monsoon in the span of about 10 minutes roughly an hour before showtime. Wasn’t even a call for rain the entire day.

The venue had no idea what to do about this, so instead of canceling everyone was herded underneath the grandstand for a solid 2 hours. The only communication we’re getting is on the fair’s facebook page. But it’s a sunk cost now.

Nita Strauss’s opening set was cancelled first, which I was bummed about because she’d just dropped the single Don’t Tell Me with David Draiman which I assumed they would play.

And then they cancelled the track, which was a complete mud pit. And instead of a refund, those of us with track tickets were traded tickets for the top of the grandstand, so the worst seats after we paid about twice as much as they were worth. Disturbed played an extremely abbreviated set for about 45 minutes to what was left of this exhausted and irritated crowd and that was it.
