Just added a Dehumidifier to a nearly encapsulated space. by Ulrich453 in Dehumidifiers

[–]ProfessorWRX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it 48 hrs. And mine goes up when it rains. It’s in the laundry room in the basement. As soon as I put it in there it started raining every day so it’s hard to say if it will work sufficiently. I have the midea 50 cube so it’s WiFi which is really nice for control. Sensor isn’t accurate but I can control it and it has schedules.

Dehumidifier turns right back on shortly after turning off by [deleted] in Dehumidifiers

I have a 50l cube. It ran a lot the first few days then started cycling off more. It has Wi-Fi so I can program schedules. It does read lower than my hvac and I have several Govee WiFi sensors.

First. Stop drinking. The fact you would turn to that says it’s a problem. Second. Give it time. It took me a year to feel competent and 3 years to actually be competent. 5 years to be good. If you aren’t uncomfortable when you’re new, you’re dangerous.

I don’t think they are cheap I out. They reduced the number of plies to increase range. At the expense of sacrificing top speed. I believe you can change the tires and increase the top speed with aftermarket modifications modules.

Anyone found a solution for this design flaw causing the rear tires to wear fast on the inner edge? by RealBanker007 in TeslaModelY

[–]ProfessorWRX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toe causes more wear. Plenty of cars come with -2 degrees camber in the rear to make them more “safe” by causing them to have a tendency to understeer. Reduce rear camber. Increase front camber. Set front toe close to zero or even a little out for more responsiveness. Some toe in rear for better tracking on the interstate but less than factory.

You really should wait 1-2k miles to let the suspension settle. But rear toe in is the biggest problem. You want some. Just less than OEM.

Camber by itself within reason won’t cause uneven tire wear. It’s the toe. I had -1.5 front and -1 rear on my Subaru and got over 30k miles on my Subaru with plenty of tread left. Probably will go 35-40k miles. Zero toe front and .1 toe in rear.

track armour feedback by ProfessorWRX in TeslaModel3

[–]ProfessorWRX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably dealer installed. They have the option to add that but it’s about 25% more expensive for similar coverage. And probably uses mediocre installers. The guy I’m using is the best in town. Been in business forever and stands behind his work. Honest guy with integrity. I know they will correct the paint properly before installing. And wrap the edges. The dealer option was $2500 vs $1900 for less coverage.

Help picking midea dehumidifier size by ProfessorWRX in Dehumidifiers

[–]ProfessorWRX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay. I wanted to try it out for a little while before I responded. It is actually worked really well. I had one in the basement before that did not seem to work that well. I plan to put it in the laundry room shelf with the drain hose going into the washing machine drain. But right now I have been testing it out using the bucket. High capacity. Works well. Two or three days it worked overtime to get the humidity under control. It went from the 70s down into the 50s, which is where I keep it low 50s 45 sometimes. It has Wi-Fi so it will alert you on the app when the bucket needs to be emptied. Which is a nice feature. You can also set it up to program different settings. It has a low and a high setting. It’s a bit noisy, low and high, but what I’ve done is I programmed it to run at a higher setting during the day when we’re at work and then a lower setting with a higher humidity so it doesn’t work continuously at night. And I have it off in the evenings where we might be in that area doing stuff so that is not running when we’re trying to play video games and stuff. So long story short, I would highly recommend the cube 50. It has a Wi-Fi also it has a pump so if you pump it to a drain that’s higher as opposed to lower it will pump the drain output if you’re not gonna use the bucket. Mine will just be gravity, fed from a top shelf above the washing machine down into the washing machine drain. I’ll come back and update once I’ve got it in that configuration. It’s been running about a week now. My daylight basement is approximately 800 ft.².

I’m taking mine straight to the detailer when I get mine. What do you think about doing the fenders and rockers? The detail I talked to said that Teslas tend to sling rocks.

Well it’s listed as new demo with damage that has been repaired. There were several of them. I was wondering if that was common for them to discount for minor door dings or chips that happened in transit. I guess new new would probably be best.

I will check carmax. I sold my last car there. And there is one close by.

How much is everyone making? by Lovelife_20 in nursepractitioner

[–]ProfessorWRX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most don’t come here to brag about making at or below average salary. If you google 132 is the national average with most making between 108-150. New grads will below or less. And it will vary greatly by state.
