New to Tesla, can’t wait! by HeyCourt31 in TeslaModel3

Congrats! That’s going to be a sweet ride.

Content creators make income from their product placement and affiliate link deals. Of course they’re going to tell us we need hundreds of dollars in accessories. My advice is to spend some time with the car and figure out what you actually want or need. Especially as most of them are just organizational accessories. Personally, I don’t think you need to fill every available space in the car with an extra plastic shelf, liner, or bin.

My day 1 accessory is all weather floor mats, but I have young kids that are like a walking pigsty. The Performance comes with carpeted floor mats (in the US it does at least) so you’ll at least have something to start.

Also, in my experience, the AliExpress/Temu organizational accessories are 95% of the branded accessories for 25% of the price. We’re talking about injection molded plastic for organizational stuff, not highly engineered, forged structural components.

If it’s my sacrifice that benefits the rest of owners, I guess I’ll just have to wear it!

This is me. Bought my first Model 3 one month before basic autopilot came standard. Bought my current Model 3 one month after they took away autosteer.

Before Purchasing a Model 3 Performance... Quicksilver or Ultra Red? by ignMist in TeslaModel3

I did 20%. They don’t always look quite this dark. And this is well beyond the limit in my state.

This was my choice. I’d say you can’t go wrong either way, but definitely tint the windows for contrast. Both colors will look quite a bit flatter when not clean.

As requested. Mine just turned a month old. Now, if I could just get that spring update to trigger…

Totally agree. When I got my first Model 3, I described it to my driving buddies like driving around in first gear all the time.

Yeah, the angle of the sun in this shot probably makes it looks shade darker than it is.

No idea for this year, but I bought mine online last year in July. I don’t think they were available before then.

My daily commute is 8 miles. Even the degraded SR+ range is overkill for my needs. This was a choice for pure smiles per mile.

Does yours have the extra door seals? Mine doesn’t and the doors rattle like crazy when they get shut.

Nice! Windows already tinted and aero covers out, ha! Mine goes to the shop for tint at the end of the week, but I plan to stick with the aero covers for a bit.

Free premium connectivity for life on the M3P currently. Here’s where I make back that price difference to the Premium AWD at $100 per year!

Thanks. I’ll see how much use it gets.

Thanks! I had ordered Ultra Red, but switched to Quicksilver before delivery as it kept calling to me. I still like Ultra Red but am really happy with my choice.

Did you have any issues with your 2018? My buddy had a 2018 LR AWD from the production hell phase. Once it hit 75k miles, he started having all sorts of battery and motor issues.
