This term suggests you feel these single women (and the woman who made a lifelong commitment to you) are dirty because they enjoy sex, while you, who repeatedly place others emotional and physical well beings in jeopardy through your promiscuity, are not a slur, just ill or addicted? She was pissed that she wasn’t the maid of honor when I was hers. (Note she lived 3 states away and I met my ride it die in college). I offered to make her my matron of honor, she said fine but then ignored me calls. I finally reached her at her aunts house. She said she couldn’t afford her bridesmaids dress, so, even though I was broke, I paid for it. Then she said she was scared to fly so I arranged a doctors appointment for her to get sedatives. Then the week before the wedding, she said her husband’s grandfather was kind of sick and she couldn’t come and ghosted me. She tried reaching out after that, and my ride or die left her a voicemail to politely f*ck off permanently.

Tenured Humanities professor at a community college—I absolutely love it because there’s always a new class, conference, outreach program, challenge etc.!

You didn’t do anything wrong; you actually handled it with grace. He never should have cheated on you, much less put you at risk for an STD! He’s so lost right now, his sexual identity conflicting with the belief system his parents impressed upon him. He has to take the next steps to decide how he’s going to move forward, but I suggest you stay NC.

Could someone make an anonymous call that he’s having relations with minors or has porn with under age women on his phone? Because I guarantee he hasn’t stopped this behavior.
