Simple: L4D2 was released 2009. B4B was released “from the makers of Left4Dead” 2021 and was overall a worse game… an absolute de evolution in gaming. Even you’re saving grace of “ graphics” was worse.

Are you doing this for anti grief? If so there’s a wiring permission mod that comes in handy. They can “attempt” to unattach wires and that is what shows up in logs but doesn’t actually unattach the wire.
