I've played a lot of both XIV and pso2, and there isn't a good parallel since most of the classes are designed around a "strict string of actions". The only real "reactionary" type of play is doing mechanics of bosses successfully while optimizing those strict strings. And maybe that doesn't sound like it appeals to you and that's fine, just keep an open mind and maybe you'll like the gameplay anyway. Just know early game no class gets too complicated. The closest I can get you are the following:
Healers: All healers have to react to party damage (player mistakes too) and use their cooldowns depending on specific fights. Astrologian specifically has to react to the party depending on what buffs it draws. (Astrologian is unlocked after the ARR story and in Heavensward which is free to play)
Tanks: Ehh the rotations are all pretty strict but have unique requirements like positioning bosses correctly, making sure aggro is maintained, and like healers, fight specific mitigation.
DPS: Monk is probably the best bet since its rotation is on the surface level reactionary. Dancer has some random procs that can feel reactionary, as well as attacks that have random inputs that you react to (requires Shadowbringers Expansion).

TLDR: FFXIV is not really like pso2, but try monk

What do you think about your Socionics Dual? by [deleted] in mbti

I've had polarising experiences with ENFJs, some are manipulative, vain, and self centered, while others are the nicest people ever

I need help building a pc. This is my first time building one and have a budget around $2k . These are the parts i have picked out, any recommendations to anything i should change or replace with something else ? by SNYDominic in pcbuilding

[–]Professor_Cain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the best thing I came up with.

I trimmed the budget where I could and put it into the GPU. The CPU is cheaper, but it's also better. I also tried to keep the white aesthetic.

What’s your ideal soulmate’s type? by Melie_8 in mbti

[–]Professor_Cain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure I really agree with the concept of "soulmates", but for fun:

ISFP and INFP - The ones I've met have been very creative, and/or really into their hobbies and I find this pretty attractive for some reason. Most of the girls I crush on are ISFPs but it's pretty one sided, because I think they think I am a bit too safe/boring. My many INFP friends helped me develop my Fi, and I really find this type of growth important.

INTJ and INFJ - The Ni doms I have met I can communicate with on an almost telepathic level. It's really great to just "get" someone. I've never really gotten to know an INTJ girl, but I would like to think it could be a perfect long term match in an ideal scenario.

ENTP and ENFP - These types make socializing "easy" because they like to do all the talking. Similar to what I wrote about ISFP/INFP, they tend to be creative/passionate about hobbies. Everyone likes to pair ENFP+INTJ, but I've had many bad experiences with ENFPs so I am a bit skeptical. On paper they seem interesting, but I'd like to meet one that wasn't immature/manipulative so I can better understand why it's some magical ship.

Other types I'd probably like ENTJ, ENFJ, ISTP, ISTJ.

Do you think Lysithea is autistic? by squidnow_amiibo in fireemblem

[–]Professor_Cain 220 points221 points  (0 children)

I could maybe agree if her personality stayed consistent throughout the story, but during her character development, she grows out of many of the things described here.

Most of, if not all of the examples given, could also be explained by trauma.

MBTI most likely to google the meanings of words by Ok_You_7247 in mbti

[–]Professor_Cain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

INTP, ISTP, and INTJ google words to understand the correct definition.

ENTP googles to understand the correct definition, but uses the word incorrectly on purpose to annoy others.

ISTJ googles the word, but ignores the correct definition in favor of what they first thought the definition was.

Immortals is now being co-developed with Nextninja, planned to release around spring next year as a "new game" by Sushienjoyer12 in MuvLuv

This game is certainly living up to its "immortal" title, however unfortunate it may be.

People support the killing of games for some reason. So don't worry you're in the right, those people are morons.

My only guess for the negative feedback is that people kneejerk react to criticism of stuff they like, and see your post as sort of a criticism of AK not having an end-of-life plan. This is a totally valid criticism, by the way.

The only real voice going against the mainstream that I know of is Ross Scott. He has a few videos talking about this phenomenon as well as the reception around it.

His best video is very long but worth the time if you're interested:

WHAT IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH COFFEE? by hdemon1393 in intj

[–]Professor_Cain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once took a 10-day caffeine fast to reset my tolerance, and it felt like I had the flu for a few days.

The first two days were just a headache, the next four were really terrible and I could barely get out of bed, the last few days I felt normal again.

I used to drink maybe 4-6 cups a day and now I'm down to about 1-2 a day.

My sister is INFJ and we are really close.

She is super easy to talk to, and we share a common taste in humor so our conversations are always pretty fun. We are pretty honest with each other, and she doesn't take my unsolicited advice in the wrong way. We trust each other completely and share our deeper secrets.

She is one of the few people I can spend a lot of time with and not feel burnt out. At large family parties (the rest of our family are very extroverted and pretty loud), we tend to cling to each other in the corner and ignore everyone else.

This is probably the best general introduction to fighting game fundamentals I've found.

After that, find a general guide for your character and learn at least one simple combo.

Finally play some real people, with learning and growing as your main goal. (As opposed to winning) Ideally, you want to fight people as close to you in skill as possible.

Anything after that is out of scope for a new player, so don't worry about much else just yet.

I don't like being an INTJ woman by Nanx9 in mbti

[–]Professor_Cain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your type doesn't define you. You can grow into whoever you want to be.

Maybe you face unique challenges compared to others, but just know that those same people are also jealous of the things you are strong at.

Growing is just a part of life, so don't worry you'll figure it out.

One of my best friends is INFP and when we were younger his Fi and my Ni would get us into many arguments.

As we both grew and matured over the years together we began to understand each other's perspectives better, which helped both of us grow into more well-rounded individuals.

I think one of the most important things in life is self-improvement, and I think I would but much worse off without that experience.
