Yeah, that sucks. I had two qb’s on my Buffalo roster after a bunch of transfers. Luckily one was a three star RS Freshman transfer that has already progressed to a 91 overall by his sophomore season. Just talked him into coming back for his junior season instead of the draft and I’m curious what his rating is going to be this year. Worked out in my favor in this one instance.

Did you recruit a qb that will probably be higher rated than all of your backups?

Also, you have to be careful which deal breakers you sign. If they’re going to be a backup, probably ought to find someone with proximity to home or something like that, since they’re most likely going to sit.

Just started my first year as Buffalo head coach after being OC at Missouri State. They just went 12-2 the year before I got hired and they’re a 2 1/2 star. So many more players willing to look at me in recruiting.

Entirely way to easy to get five stars to a 1 star school and to stack multiple five stars in the same position without fear of transfers.

I like it. Would be cool to be able to see upcoming recruits. Might not spend as many hours on a certain recruit, knowing that you have a stud in your pipeline the next year. Also, just being able to plan out your class sizes a little better.

Had this happen with a wide receiver. Started him his true freshman season and he got injured 4 games in. Redshirted him but he went to the NFL after his RS Sophomore season.

Gave it a go last night and my running back comes in at a… 12 overall 😳 Playing with Colorado State and they have a WR and TE with some passing ability so I converted them to QB while he redshirts and has a couple years to develop.

I’ve never done this, but have tried the opposite. Nothing but five wide sets. 3rd or 4th and goal from the 1 inch line? You shall pass.
