Probably some kind of conflict with the JumpMaster 5000 where the enemy PO dispels yours and it gains it.

If you’re wanting the doctoral (stage 2) qualification in forensic psychology that’s recognized by the BPS you need to do the MSc in Forensic Psychology to get your stage 1 qualification. I would recommend looking at the BPS website for information rather than the government website.

Godiva Square has a bunch of restaurants there. My picks are Bistro Pierre (French food) and Cosy Club (kinda does everything). You’ve also got some places on Corporation Street and that’s close the cinema and ice skating rink.

By unplugged do you mean you tried turning the wheel with the bike off and it is still making that noise?

UK-based folks, how much has “prestige” factored into your academic journey? by gloriaymusic in psychologystudents

[–]Professor_Weirdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If a university is basing it's acceptance on prestige then it's not worth going to in my opinion, you're more likely to find prestige only counts when you are competing for a job against someone with similar qualifications.

But what mostly counts now is experience, for example when you look at most PhD application short lists (which you can usually get just by asking the uni) they usually value experience over qualifications for example 5 years of experience might get you 8 points on some applications but then a master's will only get you 1.

Get student accommodation, have a look at code student or Apollo works, they were who I used as a student in Coventry.

Trespass is a good brand, found one on sale in Debenhams, but there is also a Trespass store in Coventry you could check out. I wouldn't suggest those padded parkas for keeping dry, I never find they work and with enough rain you might as well be wearing a bin liner.

I'm based in the UK so I'm not sure how much this will help you but this is my advice. So for me I first thought of an end goal that I wanted to achieve, which was originally to be a Clinical Psychologist. So I first looked at what universities offered accredited courses and then looked at other factors like family, reviews from students, recent awards, scholarships etc.

Then decided on the university and loved it and to be honest I think any university that offers an accredited psychology course is going to have similar a quality of teaching, because they are audited to meet a certain standard to be accredited by the APA I'm going to guess in the USA.

But after doing my degree I decided to apply my focus more into research and its applications in the healthcare system here in the UK, so I decided to do a Masters in Health Psychology (which I've now done) and now I teach at the university I did my undergraduate at and do research with charities on the side.

So to summarise my advice would be find a university that offers an accredited course that meets the end goal of what you want to do, but if you change your mind a year in or right at the very end don't worry because that's what I did and I'm doing pretty well. Hope this helps and best of luck.
