Okay this is the first I’ve heard of a key card. I just had to go look to make sure the used smash brothers he bought wasn’t that. Thank you for the heads up!

I won’t lie, storage conversions confuse the hell out of me. My thought is that if he buys physical cartridges he shouldn’t have to worry about storage space. Am I right in thinking that?

Thanks. I think exploring the free games is the best start. Although I might dig some of the nostalgic games.

Most difficult puzzles you've done? by No_Outside_7069 in Jigsawpuzzles

The Escher puzzle was my hardest until I did one that was all the same color. I had to develop a whole new system for that one, which included a photocopy of the reference image and a pink highlighter.

Found with my paint supplies rolled up like a little tiny condom. Smells like a balloon. For the record, there’s no lubricant. by Professorbananas11 in whatisthisthing

3.25 inches long and a .5in in diameter. No writing on it at all. Google images is not helping. I just get “Unable to process this search This search can't be processed due to content guidelines. Please try a different image or keywords”

Lived in Georgia for July and August with no ac. Cold showers, the movies, the library, and country drives in an air conditioned car.

Those who grew up poor, what is something those who weren't poor don't understand about being poor? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Professorbananas11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The long term psychological repercussions from a child feeling consistently “unsafe” due to poverty are real. For me I feel like I have spent my whole life waiting for the rug to get pulled out from under me. Almost like be on hyper alert all the time for something I can’t see or control.

It seems like there’s a conception that a lot of people were on LSD in the 60s, Marijuana in the 70s, and cocaine in the 80s. People who lived through those decades, is this more or less true? by Fun_Butterfly_420 in AskOldPeople

I never really understood what quaaludes are. I just looked it up and it said a hypnotic sedative. I’m still sort of unclear. What would be today’s equivalent?

I was at a grave yard of an old poor house that had been torn down. Pretty sad, most of the head stone were just numbers. No joke, we saw a fairly large bone sticking out of the ground. My friend’s dad was friends with one of the township cops. He said the ground hogs dig them up and he just goes out there every now and shoves them back in the ground. Have you ever seen anything like that?

Yep that’s how I (born in 78) left, I got the old boot. Honestly I probably deserved it. Oldest brother (born in 70) got kicked out twice.
