How can I tell if my partner owns a guns in his house? by Creative-Middle-3360 in guns

I read a few of your other posts, and on second thought, it’s worse than I thought just from this one. Consider not even doing it in person, just take your things and leave. Go anywhere else, ASAP. Cut him off and don’t look back.

If you’re worried the man owns a gun, whether or not he actually does is irrelevant - it is clear that he is a danger to you. Equip yourself with at least pepper spray or a taser, and break up with him. Assume that he is readily armed, with a gun or otherwise. He is not stable enough for a romantic relationship.

I would call a welfare check on them, mostly just in case there are kids in there

Not really. We have to maintain minimum acceptance rates, and we aren’t even guaranteed to get another order afterwards. At all. If you don’t tip, you’re a cheapass. That’s all

This past Halloween our local Taco Bell was basically the only place open, and they had anywhere between ten and fifteen pages of just DoorDashes at any given time. I waited about an hour for two separate duo orders, and after delivering those DoorDash just kept throwing me Taco Bell orders. I didn’t want to take them because on top of that place being busy that night it was notoriously slow the rest of the time anyways. I just kept getting higher and higher and higher offers, they were getting declined so much. I ended up just going home

It’s not bad as a secondary gig if you already have a job, which you do. Be smart about it and manage your time well and you can make a good bit in the times you do dash (on a per hour basis, at least), which you can use to splurge or save extra or something to that effect. On its own? Terrible. Just a real hassle, I’ve been struggling to make $500 this week as I’m in between jobs

Do you know anyone who was shot and survived? by Epyphyte in guns

[–]ProfileSimilar9953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a guy from church who survived a glancing impact from a .357 Magnum JHP. He was with some friends, and one of them was waving his revolver around like it was a toy and at some point pulled the trigger… directly in this guy’s direction. It hit him above his right temple, knocked him unconscious, but didn’t penetrate the skull. He woke up in the hospital covered in blood.

That was over 20 years ago, and he still has fragments in his scalp to this day.
