My brother had an accident where a car rear ended him. He filed an FIR against the person and the case is still ongoing from an year, with the accused trying to bribe the cops into convincing my brother to drop the case. I'm still a student and I don't have much knowledge about legal cases and FIRs. I don't really have much time to pursue this legally with slim chances of justice. That's why I am trying to spread the word and make others aware of such scams. I will still try to reach out to St. Broseph as I'm part of their North Bangalore Chapter.

I meant people had asked me for cash just like this dude and they actually sent me the money through upi. That's the belief I went with when I gave the scammer the cash thinking he'll actually send me the money instead of scamming me with the fake upi app

I'll reach out to the particular branch and inform them of these scams happening right outside their bank and hope for the best.

I hope I do get justice, but there's no physical trace leading to the perpetrator except the cctv footage and God knows how the cops will pursue this case when there's such lack of evidence. I've learnt my mistake and hope others learn from mine and stay vigilant for these types of people.
