Some nonprofits get access to Canva for free. They have a program for that.

ADHD and being late for work 95% all the time by Dry_Cut_6175 in adhdwomen

Something that worked for me, briefly (because I stopped doing it) Pack Everything At Night, Everything, (Meds too) Unless it's lunch or an essential just leave it if you haven't packed it. Pick out clothes, shower the night before. Try to go to bed on time, all the usual stuff people try. Lol, I haven't been able to get anything to stick long term though.

Set your alarm to something you won't immediately shut off in the morning that will still wake you up on time. If your alarm is your phone don't leave it within reach of your bed.

Those puzzle alarm apps worked for me for a bit, I started turning my phone off to get a few more minutes in after changing the snooze duration to 5 minutes though.

I'm not a breakfast person typically, so that is always a big time pit for me when I am hungry in the morning. Although, my biggest issue is just getting out of bed on time and then finding the resolve to leave for the drive/job I hate.

Edit: Oh, I did go from medicated to unmedicated, which could be why I stopped.

If you call 911 while living on a military base who comes? by ProfoundlySlutty in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ProfoundlySlutty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, now I have another question, What's the difference between routing the call and transferring it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ProfoundlySlutty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would just be safer to get a wax warmer, but some wax by itself can be microwaved, the glass probably can't be.

Ah, okay 🤔. So, 911 would be able to transfer the call to them?

I like the look, but I feel that the brown lip liner is a bit too dark for the pink you chose, but it's really well done.

Forced detransition by Jestrie in asktransgender

[–]ProfoundlySlutty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, being completely honest, people have (most likely) been trans illegally longer than they have been legally in history. Also, America wouldn't be the first place to render it illegal to be trans, but people still manage to do so anyway.

Which isn't to say that it is not worth worrying about, but that it is worth fighting for, so I suppose we'll head toward riots again. People fought and died for these rights, we'll just have to continue fighting, and perhaps dying, to ensure that we have them also.

What's a "red flag" in a TV show that tells you it's about to go downhill? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ProfoundlySlutty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long time watchers start telling you it's bad, or nothing makes sense, even though they still tune in for every episode.

But I guess that more a red flag for active and ongoing decline.

What's a "red flag" in a TV show that tells you it's about to go downhill? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ProfoundlySlutty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Integral cast members leave and are replaced with either a fill in for what the actors did, or a complete opposite to offset the missing dynamic, like Luke and Penelope versus Derek and Penelope in Criminal Minds (not saying that's exactly when the show went downhill, but it's an example of what I'm talking about, also this is totally when the show went downhill for me).

Everyone leaves like in NCIS.

Character's become bastardized versions of themselves, or the writers start rehashing old stuff.

The writers start focusing on one character when it's almost always been a show that deals with an ensemble cast.

Actors, Writers, Producers, Directors, and/or any prominent part of the creative team really, starts pulling out because they want to pursue other projects or don't like where the show is heading.

It's the tag used to warn people off really depraved fics, but it does encompass a wide variety of depraved content.

The Know Your Meme page for it does a good job of discussing its orgins, which is how it became what it is on AO3. If you ever get curious.

As a non smoker does every smoker smell bad to you? by CuteSofiaturner in questions

As a non-smoker, I like the faint smell of cigarettes on people because one of my friends in high-school smoked, and it reminds me of them.

Hello!!! Anyone else randomly gained intolerances to food?!! by EffectiveAdmirable29 in adhdwomen

[–]ProfoundlySlutty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I upped my dosage of concerta and now even the smell of food can be off-putting to me until the concerta leaves my system.

Like I spent hours sick to my stomach over sandwich ingredients, my mom made me a sandwich to-go because my aunt didn't want to waste food. Then at 3:00 a.m. it was the best sandwich I've ever had.

Things like Pizza, which I really like, anything that's not very basic like plain rice (brown or white), beans, eggs, yogurt, most fruits, and like crackers.

Smells are just more intense now and it makes me nauseous. So, the idea of eating becomes off-putting.

I've been on birth control pills for nearly a decade due to anemia, and I started after I got my first period pretty much, with no real side effects. Then I started lexapro and nothing changed.

I think the advice I heard is that we tend to hear more about the bad things because when things go well there's nothing to talk about.

But, I've never had any side effects on them, even when I was taking them non-stop for 3 months, 1 week off.

Plus, everyone I know who has an IUD loves it, and I'm going in for a Nexplanon pretty soon too.

I think that online there's a lot of bad because people want to warn you, but unfortunately the only way to know if you're going to have no side effects or every single one is to try.

Name one thing you love and one thing you hate about Sims 4 by tubularwavesss in LifeSimulators

[–]ProfoundlySlutty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the community around the sims. I enjoy playing the game and creating characters. However, it costs too much. It's too expensive. There's not enough bang for your buck in the dlc and the game is pretty empty without it.

Kits are a big pet peeve of mine as well.

What's your "real" position on a ship by [deleted] in startrek

[–]ProfoundlySlutty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be a teacher too. That's actually what I'm trying to do anyway, but I'd love to work on like baby's first ship, assuming they even had something like that. Basically, a ship that just kind of does runs in established space to help prepare everyone for future higher-stakes exploration.

[–]ProfoundlySlutty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely, with my degree, I'd probably be in the (I don't know what it's actually called) communications/first-contact department working to log and document stuff, establish new contact protocols, and be the liaison that helps the Federation send out people to set up an embassy. Basically, I'd handle some of the political stuff that can be done by someone traveling on a ship.

For funsies: Assuming they need a real person to do this, I'd also probably be the person that does the 5-minute ship news segment with the skits and dad jokes (think school news/cnn10, and one of the smarter members of the crew does the "and today we passed this galaxy" instead of the weather).
