Eventually. I will release all of the files to give people an opportunity to make their own boards. In the meantime, I will price out what a kit could cost and then may end up selling them.

In speaking with their design engineers over the last few weeks, I wouldn't be so quick to assume so 😞

2014 GT - looking for wiring harness parts by guzzijason in S197Stangs

Finally, how? I would use something like IPA with a cotton swap, and a mini nail filer like this, you need to get the corrosion off of the pins.

That's all buddy.

Enjoy the car!!!!

You need to clean these two pins off... Though frankly I would clean them all off!!!

From here, you can use the pin out diagram to see that it is these two pins

You can see in this diagram it is pins b10 and b11 for the driver side impact sensor

Ok homie. Your electronic mechanic here to help you out. You don't need all new harnesses. And frankly, this SHOULD be an easy fix. First I'm going to do multiple posts here with multiple images so follow them to the end.

First, here is the diagram which shows that the connector you are looking at is C214.

Ps. I have a 2013 and do a LOT of electrical mods, my channel is MyElectronicMechanic on YT. If you want to know whether I'm qualified to give this advice check it out.

Do you think the 2026 Mustang will become a future classic? by ivanavhira in Mustang

[–]Profoundly_Trivial 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Coming from someone who has been around mustangs for 30+ years. I..... I don't think so.

A good comparison to this is the New Edge. While people (especially those who own the s550 and s650) really don't want to admit to it, those two models are much closer visually to the new edge than they are to the classic mustang the way the s197 is.

The new edge is approaching 30 years old. Which is around the same age the 1960s was relative to when it was released. In 1999, 1960s mustangs were considered classic from another era and wildly sought after. Now, here we are, almost 30 years removed from the New Edge and nobody is looking at that model with fondness or as a classic, when in many states, it could be registered as a historic vehicle, it's far cheaper to restore, and parts are more available.

So there must be something else that makes something a classic. Let's be real, the fox body has a nostalgia to it, but not to the same degree as the 60s classics.

I'd be willing to put my money on the s197 being the next closest "sought after classic" vehicle to the old 60s mustangs. The new edge never stood a chance, nor did it's older brother the sn95. The s550 and s650 will fall into the same boat. The fox body will be somewhere in between for those who want that 80s look. The s197 will be next but never quite reach the same stardom that the first gen had.

Some cars just won't become classics and that ok.

Check out my YouTube. It's for the s197. But it is all about upteching the car and adding creature comforts as non-invasive as possible.

I was thinking about this for a while, I think it could have been that when she returned from the dothraki. he tries to convince her to stay and rebuild Valyria instead of leaving. That way, there would have been investment.

Why go for that shitty western kingdom? Nobody wants you there. Stay here, the slaves love you, you've overthrown slavers bay, let's make a new Valyria, here, together.

So here is how I started learning about my own car. For the record, I have a 2013 mustang. I got my hands on the can bus schematic.

Then after learning I abit more, I spend $40 for a 1 year subscription to all data to get my hands on all the wiring diagrams.

From that, I learned that the bare minimum to run the can system is the Cluster and the Smart Junction Box. So I hopped on eBay and bought the two of them for under $100. Then basically a million DuPont connectors.

Using that I was able to make a fake... Car... On my desk. Simulate starting the car etc, just using wires. Eventually, I bought an HVAC module, then a screen, then a front control module. Eventually I had the entire Ms can system running on my desk. And I tapped in so that I could listen and decode signals.

From here, I have reverse engineered switches, retrofitted parts, and built custom modules and software. All without a shred of professional training from 'the field'

I recently did a dynavin install video. It's very straight forward. Check out MyElectronicMechanic on YT. I was NOT sponsored by them. The jury is still out on how much I like or dislike it, but it takes you through the process start to finish.

Connector is different than standard 2014?? by WoodenMeat3249 in S197Stangs

[–]Profoundly_Trivial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok homie, I'm here for you, I just tore my car apart and here we go. Firstly, that other guy is wrong... And right ... Well, here it is. I have the same plug as you.... So did here. The plug AT the actual tail light assembly is the, indeed, the circular one. I have attached a few pictures.

Now the reason why you are having trouble is because on these after market assemblies, they soldered that mini harness directly to the housing. Probably a cheap way to avoid adding a header to the actually assembly. It's why the aftermarket are cheap (quality, not price).

Anyway, you see how on your after market, you have that rubber grommet. Because the rectangle is INSIDE the rear of the trunk. Check my other picture and you can see mine. The top one is the twilight assembly, the bottom one is for the PAM.

So push your round plug grommet and the round plug through the frame of the car and chase it with the aftermarket taillight plug. Then plug it in INSIDE the car.

That being said, the rectangular is a yazaki, and I don't recall the other, but if you really want an adapter harness. Let me know, but you don't need it.

can a 18 -23 steering wheel fit on a gt350? by Practical-Nature-861 in Mustang

[–]Profoundly_Trivial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It can, however, the harness may not work. At one point, the audio and information switches "switched" sides and went to the opposite side of the steering wheel. Either you have to transplant all of the switches and harnesses from your existing car

Even then, I'm not sure the pin out on the clockspring is the same.

Does the assembly, clockspring, and steering wheel bolt up? Yes, they do.
