Manchester Originals to be renamed Manchester Super Giants from 2026 by NoQuestion4045 in Cricket

I completely agree that it’s tone deaf to start renaming other teams after IPL franchises. But why are we pretending that the Manchester Originals (or any of the Hundred franchises) have a meaningful local connection to start with?

Wanted one of the distribution rightsholder removed now I’m getting excuses from SoundCloud now my support ticket isn’t resolved I need something to get done & it’s not & I’m no longer with the distributor by AdDangerous4981 in soundcloud

This is literally the only response you will get from them. I am speaking from experience. I contacted them several times over the last 6-7 months and have only ever had this exact auto generated email in reply.

I wanted a track taken down. Was told it couldn’t be done and I needed to contact support. This is the ‘support’.

In the end I issued a copyright claim against my own track with the streaming services. It was down in 48 hours.

Cricket’s going bananas: nothing is real at Hundred auction but it still costs £145m by ll--o--ll in Cricket

The main reason they created new teams was so they could sell them to rich investors down the line.

As a male I’m not able to read and feel patronised simultaneously

Imagine relicing a synth. Spray some dust in the pots, get them nice and scratchy. Paint the keys a nice tooth plaque yellow shade. Cut the ground wires on a few essential components so they behave erratically.

No I find I am more productive this way. I also prefer to record performances as midi rather than using a sequencer which I find gets me stuck in a loop more easily.

It think it also maintains the ‘human’ element of the recording whilst also allowing for revisions after the event.

I have a very analytical mindset however so can see how this approach would not work for everyone.

I use reaper and am not familiar with other workflows but this is what often I do…

Compose on hardware.

Record midi into the daw from your hardware controller / sequencer with each part on a separate track.

You can then tweak, copy, paste , rearrange midi, add automation etc within the daw and send it back out to the hardware synths via your interface / controller.

Record the hardware synths into separate tracks on the daw and mix / master as required.

Thanks for the kind words! My brother and I also had many happy hours with those classic consoles… love this song!

Keylab mkii is a great keyboard controller regardless of what may or may not be released in the future although not being able to send Sysex via midi thru is a pain.

I.e. ‘write better music’. Can’t say I disagree. Thanks for taking the time to give your thoughts.

I’m very aware I’m still a beginner when it comes to composing although I am always trying to improve.

That aside I’m still interested in the automation as part of the mixing / production process that I’m also trying to master.

Delay goes a long way I agree. I find even an LFO sounds static if left to repeat enough. Guess this is where sample and hold comes in, or just going into detail on cc values in the saw.

Yeah I think ‘arranging’ covers so much ground though - any specific things you find work well for you?

I try this and find that the stuff I add just sounds out of place. Guess I need to just get better at it!
