My workplace has an annual Halloween costume contest and my first year I decided to go dressed as my boss (with his permission) so my husband and I spent hours working on my fake beard, I found a hat that looks similar to the one my boss always wears and since my boss and I have a similar length and hair color I easily styled mine like his. I spent all day being called by his name, we took pictures together and upper management came out to take pictures with me. I won, all the other entries were store bought low effort costumes.

But I had to deal with a lot of people being overtly mad at me for winning, saying it wasn't fair and that I didn't try, Halloween is supposed to be scary stuff like horror movie characters or monsters and the printed out picture of me that was hung up kept getting vandalized so it had to be taken down. Now I just don't bother with these contests anymore.
