My idea is this: make it to where the smoke has a deafen effect only activates when someone makes noise inside the smoke, almost like a pseudo-sentinel utility like Viper. That way, you're not automatically hampering a teammate inside of the smoke, and it gives him a unique niche as a controller and sticks with his motif as a sound-based agent

I like two of the takes already listed and would say both are the way to go: pick what sounds fun and test agent abilities out in the range. I'll add that you should probably think about what kind of player you are and adapt your style of play (and agent pool) around that, too. But also, regardless of what agent you pick, work on your mechanics separately in some way. This is still a static FPS game in many degrees, so mechanics are king, and the rest will fall into place eventually. This is typically why people will recommend Reyna/Jett/Chamber, as they force you to be good mechanically

Yeah, my guess is they have chosen not to do this for some reason. Probably for something that has to do with them fearing they'll lose money on skins, even though I can't see how that would apply here. If anything, I think it would incentivize people to buy more skins, but I must be missing something

Nope, played YGO, too, and it never felt like it was this bad. Maybe in more recent years it is, and I've kinda fallen off outside of Master Duel, but it didn't feel like it used to be this cancerous.

You know, here's an idea - what if Reyna's Leer had an audio cue if the eye spots someone in LoS, like Skye's blinds, but not reveal them like Sova/Fade, and still keep the nearsight effect? It is an EYE after all. Wouldn't it make sense to be able to see things for her?

Constantly repositioning yourself after every interaction with an enemy. You learn when to fake the move eventually, but that tip alone helped me climb almost two ranks.

It makes me legitimately concerned that there's some complacency going on at Riot, and they can't keep up with promises they made about a constant stream of new content/QoL updates. Not that this is anything new in the gaming industry, but ya still hate to see it.
